Miss You - another Mama Elephant card to share

I have seen this set used so many cute ways.     I loved how Laura Bassen did this card here and had to give a try.   TBH - this was my third attempt.   I am not that great with a craft knife and it took me three tries to get one that looked decent.   That is mostly due to my fear of the craft knife!    It takes practice!

I used my Distress Inks to create my night sky: Dusty Concord, Broken China and Tumbled Glass.   The stars were stamped from the Lawn Fawn Starry Background stamp.    The sentiment and little gig are from the Mama Elephant In my Heart (along with the die).

Thanks for looking!

Stamps:  Mama Elephant In My Heart, Lawn Fawn Starry Background
Inks: Versamark, MFT Hybrid Black Licorice, Distress Inks
Paper: MFT Smooth White
Tools: ME In my heart dies, White Embossing Powder, White Gel Pen,  Craft Knife

Mama Elephant Pandamonium Birthday!!

I have been wanting to get this set for some time and I recently found out that they sell Mama Elephant on Marker Pop!   I got this set along with the coordinating dies and found that it was super easy to make cards quickly.   There is no coloring of the image, you just stamp and go.   It's nice to get a card made quickly!   I made three cards this weekend that I will share.   Clean and simple cards that don't have a lot of layers going on.

Stamps: ME Pandamonium, ME My Sunshine, MFT Confetti Background
Inks: Hero Arts Black Dye, MFT Hybrid Sno Cone, MFT Hyrid Lemon Drop, SU Crumb Cake
Paper:  MFT Whip Cream
Tools: ME Pandamonium Dies, Copic, Distress Stickles, Sponge

Next up is a 4 bar card that I made.  These are slightly smaller than an A2 size.  4 bar is 3 1/2 inches by 4 7/8 inches.

I used the same stamp set but changed it just a little to 4 bar, added a greeting from ME Everday greetings, switched the Sno Cone ink with  MFT Hybrid Berrylicious for the sunshine stamp along with MFT Steel Grey paper as a border.

My third card was along the same layout as the first card but using some different elements.  Much more clean and simple.  I used MFT Diagonal Stripes and Linen Background stamps with MFT Hybrid Sno Cone ink.    I added a ballon from MFT Birdie Brown Birthday wishes and covered it with Glossy Accents.   The sentiment is from ME Make a Wish set.

Three different but very clean and simple cards!   Thanks for looking!

My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club - MFTWSC186

Here is my card this week for the Wednesday Sketch Challenge.     I used the MFT Pure Innocence Happy Banner stamp and die.   I used the paper collection from Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine.  It had a paper that had Oh Happy Day printed all over the paper and went perfectly with this set.

I used Copics to color my image and then paper pieced the dress, banner and bow.    Perfect for a Birthday Card.

Stamps: MFT PI Happy Banner
Inks: MFT Hybrid Black Licorice
Paper: MFT Smooth White, Razzle Berry,  Lemon Drop, Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine
Tools: MFT Blueprints 1 & 2, Fishtail Flag Stax and Pierced Fishtail Flag Stax, Wink of Stella Clear, Copics

Peerless Watercolor - Thank you card to Share!

I finally tried my Peerless Watercolors that I had ordered.  Wow!  Are they bright and beautiful.   I only got the Complete Edition which is 15 colors.    I got mine directly from the Peerless website at the time that I ordered everyone was sold out!   They are bright and they blend so easily!   They really have great color saturation.      I did an emboss resist using a Mama Elephant Trifecta stamp set and stamped in Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder.     The sentiment is a set from Paper Smooches, Slang Gang embossed with white embossing powder as well onto a black circle cut out with my new MFT Pinking Circe Stax.   I tried (my first) wadding up some white thread and layering under my sentiment.  ( I almost left it off. )  My OCD almost kicked in and removed it.   I have seen many people do this on cards and it looks great.   My first few attempts to "wad" it up, really did not look the way I thought it should.  Still not to sure about it.   But need to try new things!   Definitely a new thing for me.  Anyway, hope you enjoy the card share!

Love that sentiment!!!

Uptown Girl by Stamping Bella - Perry on her laptop

I have several Stamping Bella stamps and it had been a while since I had inked one up.   Last time I did a card with this cutie, I paper pieced the whole card and I really don't like paper piecing.   It is not my fav!  So this time I used all inks!!  Copics that is!    It went super quick with the Copic markers.    I added some bling with some Distress stickler, glossy accents and my wink of Stella clear glitter pen.

I used some papers from Basic Grey Highline paper pack.  It is full of bright and yummy colors!   I pulled out my My Favorite Things Blueprint 14 for the flower accents and Fishtail Flag Stax to add the sentiment.   The sentiment is from a Simons Says Stamp Card Exchanging Stamp set.

Stamps: Uptown Girl Perry on her Laptop, SSS Card Exchanging
Ink: MFT Hybrid Black Licorice
Paper: PI Stampers Select, MFT Pink Lemonade, SU Summer Starfruit, Copic Xpress it, BG Highline, MFT Razzleberry
Tools: MFT Blueprints 13 and 14, Fishtail Flag Stax, Distress Stickles, Glossy Accents, Hot Fudge Button, Hemp Twine, Copics

This photo shows a little bit of the sparkle from the Distress stickler and glossy accents on the glasses.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club - MFTWSC184

I love new release time with My Favorites Things!  I got my goodies on Friday and that gave me some time to play with my new stuff this weekend!     I inked up several new goodies!!!!    I also have a reference tool that I have been meaning to make completed for all my Blueprints.    Most of the Blueprints have dies that you can use to cut out layers for your card bases.  I have created a cheat sheet for which ones can layer together.    I have shared it at the end of this post.    Hope that it is helpful.

All products MFT unless otherwise noted:

Stamps: PI Happy, Diagonal Stripes Background, Happy Birthday Background
Papers: Grout Gray, Orange Fizz, Sno Cone, Steel Grey, Copic Xpress
Ink: Hybrid Black Licorice, Sno Cone, SSS Fog
Tools: Pierced Fishtail Flag Stax, Happy Banner Die, Pinking Edge Circle Stax, Rectangle Frame, Horizontal Stitched, Copic Opaque White, Clear Wink of Stella

Here is a close up of the cute stamp.    You can barely see in the photo but I stamped the Sno Cone with the Happy Birthday Background stamp with Sno Cone ink.    It is hard to see in the photo but is a subtle look in real life.

Here is the Cheat Sheet that I created for my Blueprints.   Based upon the measurements of the largest die, I created this layering cheat sheet.   Layer one would be the bottom (on top of your card base) and then you would work you way up.

My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club & July Color Palette Challenge - MFTWSC183

Here is my card this week for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch.    I used my Celebrate Big stamp set and made a background with MFT Sno cone card stock with Hybrid Sno Cone ink and the big Celebrate from the stamp set.    I stamped over Celebrate every other line with Versamark ink and then added SU Iridescent Embossing Powder on top for some sparkle.   This month's Color Palette Challenge is Sno Cone, Blu Raspberry, Tangy Orange and Banana Split.

The balloons were cut with the MFT Balloon die using Blu Raspberry, Tangy Orange and Banana Split.   They were mounted on top of Smooth White Pierced Circle and then topped with a Smooth White Pierced Fishtail Flag stax stamped with MFT Hybrid Black Licorice ink with another sentiment from the Celebrate big stamp set.   I added some black/white Doodlebug twine and that finished off the card.

Stamps:  MFT Celebrate Big
Ink: MFT Hybrid Sno Cone, Black Licorice, Versamark
Paper: MFT Smooth White, Tangy Orange, Banana Split, Blu Raspberry, Sno Cone and PI Kraft
Tools: MFT Balloon die, Pierced Fishtail Flag Stax, Pierced Circle Stax, Blueprints 13, Doodlebug Twine, Glossy Accents, Iridescent Embossing Powder

Violet's Birthday Card with Mama Elephant

I saw this card on the Mama Elephant blog and had to create my own for my grand neice's birthday.  She turned one!    I used my Distress Inks to create the background and the ballon with white emboss resist.    I watercolored the images from ME In my heart on TH watercolor paper and then used the matching dies to cut them out. I sponged the edges with Distress Ink.

Stamps: Mama Elephant In my heart, Make a wish
Inks: MFT Hybrid Black Licorice, Distress Inks, Versamark
Paper: PI Kraft, SU Soft Sky, Tim Holtz Watercolor paper
Tools: ME In my heart dies, white embossing powder, Clear Wink of Stella, Sakura White Gel Pen, Copic Marker
