Banana's for you

Hello everyone!    I have been super busy and not a lot of crafty time.   I had planned to work on Cards from the Heart Card Drive and stamped up several images to put on some Valentine cards but have not had time to pull the cards together.   I hope to get them done this week and then shipped off. Here is the website if you want to join.  She is collecting cards thru January 30th.    I may not get my cards posted on the blog but I used one of the images and backgrounds with this weeks My Favorite Things Sketch challenge and this is my first card down!

Gold Foil - Simon Says Stamp Challenge

The challenge this week at the Simon Says Wednesday Stamp challenge is to use something new.   Gold Foil!    I have never used foiling on my cards.   I bought some foiled card stock and have had it for months and never cracked it open.    I got a Minc machine for Christmas and have yet to foil anything.  For some reason it intimidated me!   However, I have gotten over the fear of the gold and now I think you will see me become a foiling fool!

I cut some hearts out with my My Favorite Things Staggered Heart border die and cut it from Gold Foil and Watercolor paper that had been made a while back in this post.

The sentiment is from MFT Picture This white embossed, cut out with Fishtail Flag Stax and then sewed onto the card front for a really flat card front.    I loved how the Gold just pops off the card.

Stamps: MFT Picture This
Inks: Versamark, Various Pink/Red Distress Inks
Papers: MFT Red Hot, Smooth White, SU Basic Black, DCWV Foil Card 6x6 pad, Watercolor paper
Tools:  MFT Staggered Heart Border, Fishtail Flag Stax, Sewing Machine, Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, Blueprints 1

With some of the extra gold hearts cut out, I created another card.   I actually did a third card but did not get any photos of the card.   I will share it later.

This used the MFT Distressed Patterns stamp set (LOVE LOVE LOVE!)  This I predict will be a well used set that I will use a lot in the future.    I stamped in some pink inks and then placed two gold hearts on top.     The Love You sentiment is from SSS Love This stamp set.   The panel is a new MFT die, Mini Scalloped Rectangle Stax and placed on top of some Papertrey Ink Kraft base stamped with SSS Teeny Bikini ink with the Sketched Chevron Background Stamp.

Stamps: MFT Distressed Patterns, Sketchy Chevron Background, SSS Love This
Inks: SSS Teeny Bikini, Cotton Candy, MFT Hybrid Black Licorice
Papers: PI Kraft, MFT Smooth White, DCWV Foil 6x6 paper pad
Tools: MFT Staggered Heart Border, Small Scalloped Rectangle Stax

I am entering these cards into the Simon Says Wednesday Stamp Challenge for using something new!   Gold Foil!!!

Top Dog Love

Now that the holidays are past us, I am ready to start creating Valentine's Day cards!    This one was inspired by this card that I pinned from Instagram from Impress Cards.    I used my My Favorite Things Top Dog set again and a new set called Distress Patterns.    The panel was cut using Blueprints 20 and I stamped it with some Mama Elephant pigment inks with the Distress Pattern set.     The dog was stamped with MFT Hybrid Black Licorice and then I colored the heart with a copic marker and left the coloring kinda sketchy.   The sentiment is from an older MFT set and stamped in Delicata Golden Glitz pigment ink.    The panel was put on top of a MFT Red Hot card stock base with some patterned paper from Lawn Fawn Peace Love Joy 6x6 pad.

Happy New Year to all!
