Mama Elephant Unicorns and Rainbows

Pretty simple card!   I did not own any unicorn sets and saw several out recently but Mama Elephant was my favorite!   When your images are mostly white and the card is mostly white, you tend to get done quickly!    The only things that really took anytime for me was figuring out what color topics to use.    The stamp set is Rainbows and Unicorns by Mama Elephant.  The rainbow die is an older My Favorite Things die.  Can't get any easier!   I am saving this card for my grand niece and her birthday.   She will be two.    I think she will love it.

Mama Elephant Charmed again!

Hey There!   Hope you are having a great start to your Spring!  The weather where I live is wonderful!  Nice sunny day and beautiful evenings!   I love that we have more day light in the evening!

On to the card, here is another card that I created with the same stamp set that I used yesterday.   Mama Elephant Charmed is such an adorable set.     I used the fox this time and a birthday sentiment. I kept the card really soft and made a strong contrast with the coloring of the fox.   Red foxes are so pretty.

Mama Elephant Charmed

My niece is getting married in May.   I wanted to create a wedding card for the wedding and was really inspired by this stamp set - Mama Elephant Charmed.    I had seen several cards made with this set and it is so adorable.   I did not order it for the longest time but recently I had an order from Simon Says and put this in my cart.    So glad I did!   I also used another Mama Elephant set called Sunday Sentiments for the Congratulations and the inside greeting.

I have really started to like using Bristol card stock for ink blending.  It goes on really smooth and you don't get the marks from the ink blender.   The ink just glides on the paper.   I ink blended some Distress inks in Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick.   The sentiment was stamped in Simon Says Stamp ink in Smoke.

Stamps:  Mama Elephant Charmed and Sunday Sentiments
Inks: MFT Hybrid Black Licorice, Distress Spun Sugar, SSS Smoke
Papers: PI Kraft, Bristol, Copic Xpress it
Tools: MFT Wonky Stitched rectangle stax, Charmed Dies, White Sakura Gel Pen, Copics

Ewe are the best - Sunshiny birthday card!

Hope you have had a wonderful Easter weekend celebrating the resurrection of our Savior!

I had some crafty time this weekend and made several cards!    Woot! Woot!   Here is another card for the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Come rain or shine.    I used my Birdie Brown set, Ewe are the best.

The panel was created by using a Tim Holtz sun ray stencil and several colors of yellow Distress inks:  Squeezed Lemonade, Scattered Straw and Mustard Seed.   For the corner I used Tumbled Glass.  This was inked onto some Bristol Smooth Card stock.  Then cut with MFT Blueprints 15 for a stitched edging along the panel.

The sheep were colored with Copics and cut our with my Brother Scan and Cut 2.   The sentiment was white heat embossed on black card stock cut with Fishtail Flag strip.

Mama Elephant Carried Away Part two

Here is another card that I made with the Mama Elephant stamp set, Carried Away.    I created a background using this tutorial from My Favorite Things using Distress inks, Sunshine Stencil and cloud border stencil.

Once I made the background, I colored the stamped images with Copic markers and cut them out with my Brother Scan and Cut 2.    The background panel was cut with My Favorite Things Blueprints 15 to create a stitched border around the panel.

Mama Elephant - Carried Away

I will be sharing three cards created from the Mama Elephant Carried Away Stamp set.  First up,  I created this card.

I wanted the background to look like a city building and he was being carried up into the sky.   I made the background using My Favorite Things English Brick Wall Stencil.   I used Distress inks in Pumice Stone and Weathered Wood.  I used some Salty Ocean on the sides of the panel.   The panel had been cut with My Favorite Things Blueprints 13 Stitched panel and I used Bristol card stock.   It is great when you are blending Distress inks and has a smooth finish.

The sentiment was stamped with My Favorite Things Hybrid Black Licorice ink on Smooth White card stock and cut with the Mama Elephant Landscape Trio die for the cloudy border.  I also cut a Vellum Cloud border but it was mostly covered up with the large ballon.   You can barely see it peeking out from under the white border.

The images were colored on Xpress it Copic Blending card stock and then cut out with my Brother Scan and Cut 2.   The balloon, boy and bear were popped up with the sentiment panel with foam tap.   The main panel was adhered directly to the card stock A2 panel.    I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the balloon, scarf and teddy bear for a little sparkle.

Stamps:  Mama Elephant Carried Away
Inks: My Favorite Things Hybrid Black Licorice, Distress inks: Pumice Stone, Weathered Wood, Salty Ocean
Papers: Recollections White (base), MFT Smooth White (sentiment),  Bristol (panel), Copic Xpress it (images), Vellum
Tools: MFT Blueprints 13, Mama Elephant Landscape Trio, Wink of Stella Clear, Brother Scan and Cut 2

This would be a cute birthday card for anyone to receive!

Lucky - Thinking of you

We are getting closer to St Patrick's Day so I pulled out a My Favorite Things Pure Innocence Stamp 4 Leaf Clover (retired) to make a thinking of you card.    I colored the image on some Neenah 80 lb Solar White card stock with Copics and cut out the panel with the Wonky Stitched stax.   The sentiment stamp is from Simon Says Stamp Sending Happy stamp set.  This is a semi one layered card with the panel popped up on some craft foam.    I finished off with some details, Wink of Stella on her barrette and clover and Pico Embellisher in Clear to add some small dimension and sparkle.

You have my heart, my sister's birthday

Hey everyone!  Hope that you are having a fabulous day.   It has been a beautiful sunny weekend and it feels like spring is right around the corner.    My trees are bursting with beautiful pink flowers!

Here is a card that I created for my sister's birthday using My Favorite Things Birdie Brown's You have my heart stamp set.    She loves dogs and cats.   I just love this little image of the girl and dog looking at one another.     I colored her with blond hair using copic markers and colored the dog the same color as her dog.    The sentiment set is from Lawn Fawn, Baked with Love.    The sentiment was curved to match the curve of the main focal image.

I masked the image with Inkadinkadoo masking paper and masked the card to take a Sunshine stencil and create a pink circle of sunshine around the image.   The panel was cut with MFT Wonky stitched rectangle stax.

Stamps:  MFT Birdie Brown You have my Heart, Lawn Fawn Baked with Love
Inks: MFT Hybrid Black Licorice ink, Distress Spun Sugar
Papers:  MFT Summer Splash (my new favorite!), Copic Xpress it
Tools: MFT Wonky Stitch Rectangle stax, MFT Sun Ray Stencil, Copics, Clear Wink of Stella, Clear Pico Embellisher, Sakura White Gel pen, MFT Circle Stax 1

Hope you have a fabulous weekend!
