Neat and Tangled - Beary Merry

I made some Christmas tags using the Neat and Tangled stamp set called Beary Merry.    This is a really cute set and the artist that designed it had a similar digital image that she did last year that I just loved.   I am not really into digital stamps person.   I have bought a few but much rather stamp them out then print them out.    I stamped the bear and the accessories out on Canson watercolor paper and then watercolored them with my Gansai Tambi watercolors.     I have not done this in a long time and really have never used these watercolors to color images.  Usually I reach for my Distress inks but the Gansai are more pigmented color.   I varied the color of the bear using the same paint color just by how much water I added to the pigment.   Once they were colored, I used the dies for the images to cut them all out.    This particular die has cut lines for the hands which allows you to tuck the little image into.

I ended up making ten tags total.    I used two different backgrounds.   For one,  I die cut the largest tag using the MFT Pierced tag stax.   For one, I used Kraft card stock and Hero Arts White Unicorn pigment ink and a MFT Snowfall background stamp.    For the other tags, I used MFT Jelly Bean Green card stock and stamped with the MFT Gingham Background stamp.     The Gingham background is one of my favorite stamps to use, especially this Christmas.   I used it for card and tag bases.

I stamped the sentiment on a snowball cut with Stitched Basic Edges on Smooth White card stock.   Details were added to the images with my Christmas Red Stickles and Prisma color pencil to add detail to the scarf.     A simple to and from was stamped on the back from a Mama Elephant Stamp set called Confetti.

I hope you enjoy!
