Neat and Tangled - My Favorite Nut

Hey there!    I am sharing a card that I made using the Neat and Tangled My Favorite Nut stamp set.   I was inspired by this card made by Debby Hughes from LimeDoodleDesigns.

Instead of watercolor background, I ink blended a light inking of Broken China Distress ink with a stencil to create a very faint hint of color.   It is more notice in real life.    The images were colored with Copic markers.   The panel was placed on a MFT Grout Grey card base.

I added some Sparkling clear sequins and a felt heart (inspired by her card) and a twine bow.

Avery Elle Hogs & Kisses - One last Valentine Card for the Card Drive

Hey there!    I have one last card to share of the cards that I created for the Cards from the Heart Card Drive.   I mailed them off this week and hoping (fingers crossed) that they make it there on time.    I only made 31 cards of the 50 that I was shooting for but I ran out of time and had other weekend activities that kept me busy!

I used the Avery Elle Hogs & Kisses set again!   It is so darn cute!

I used several stamp sets to make the cards - MFT Watercolor stripes, Linen, and Swiss Dots Background stamps.    I used the Snow Drift Borders to cut the grassy area.   The Hogs & Kisses stamp set, I used several of the images and colored with Copic Markers.

My Favorite Things - Warm & Fuzzy Friends - Casing a Card

Today, I am sharing a card that I cased!

I have pinned hundreds of cards on Pinterest.   Every once in a while when my mojo is not really there or I am short on crafting time,  I will search on Pinterest for some inspiration.   I had these images stamped out for quite some time.    I colored them up one night and then this weekend when I had a small amount of time to craft, I searched my Pinterest board and was inspired by this card by SonjaK.  Here is a link to her blog, which is very inspiring: Sonja's blog.

I

The images had been colored with Copic markers and then cut out with my Scan and Cut.   This card was pulled together from my image stash, stamped background pile, and precut die cuts for sentiments for some quick card making.

When I get a new stamp set, I will stamp out the images on some card stock and save them for coloring later.  I will color them and then cut them out with my die cuts or Scan and Cut and save for later.    I will also make extra background panels.  These come in so handy when I am short on crafting time but want to make a card.

For this card, all I need to do was
add the white panel of MFT Smooth White card stock cut with a scalloped and stitched basic border die from MFT.   The sentiment was stamped on a black Fishtail Flag die cut.   (I also will die cut this shape from various basic colored card stocks like black, white and grey and keep on hand for embossing or inking with a sentiment).

So to sum up some quick tips for card making on the fly:
1) Stamp your images when you get a new stamp set and save the images to color later.  You can go and ahead color and cut them out to add to a card later as well.
2) Stamp out or watercolor background panels several at a time and save for later to make a quick card panels.
3) Die cut your favorite sentiment shapes - flags, banners, strips in neutral card stocks like white, black and grey for adding a quick sentiment to a card.

This card came together in about 30 minutes, which included my search on Pinterest!

Share with me your tips for quick card making!

Avery Elle - Hogs & Kisses Valentines

I made another batch of Valentine Cards for the Cards from the Heart Card Drive using the super cute Avery Elle Hogs & Kisses stamp set.    The images were stamped onto Bristol Smooth card stock and then watercolored with Zig markers.   I cut the images out with my Scan and Cut.    I layered the stamped image on a white square cut with a pinking edge die from MFT and then layered on a Grout Grey card stock notecard stamped with a Typewriter background in Grout Grey Ink.

Pretty Pink Posh - Happy Snowman

I am playing along with the Simon Says Wednesday challenge - this week it is anything but a card!   So I made some Christmas tags for 2017.    I am going to try to make some tags and Christmas cards once a month to get ahead of the game and use some of the sets that I did not get to use before this past Christmas!😊

The tag die is from Neat and Tangled classic tag.   The red tag was stamped with Houndstooth Background and then snowflake from Penny Black die was put on the red tag.    I used twine to tie them both together.    Some have snow and some don't.    The sentiment is from another Pretty Pink Posh Winter Wonderland set.

MFT Stamps - Valentine Cards

Here are some more cards I made using the same sketch that I made with my previous post but changed it up just a little bit by adding various images, some cloud die cuts and ink blending a sky onto the background circle.

I have stamped images that I have colored at different times and throw into a container for later use.   So I went thru all my images and pulled out some that I thought went well with the sketch.

And this week, I got two more Valentine stamp sets in the mail and one more on the way!   Can't wait to ink them up!

All the supplies used on these cards are from My Favorite Things with the exception of the sentiment.   The sentiment is from a Simon Says Valentine set from the past.

Reverse Confetti - Mouse Mail and Figure of Speech

I made this cute card with two sets from Reverse Confetti.   The mouse was watercolored with Zig Clean Color Markers and the sentiment was heat embossed with clear embossing powder over black ink.   The pictures really don't show the color well.   I used my Clarity Stencil brushes and brushed Tumbled Glass distress ink on the bottom of the panel for a really soft blue gradient to white.    The entire card was then distressed with some Stampin UP Crumb Cake ink.

I kept it real simple for this one.

Reverse Confetti - Mouse Mail

I've made a lot of cards with this stamp set.   I love these little mice.    You may see this stamp set again since I am shooting to make at least 50 cards for the Cards from the Heart Card Drive.    See my previous posts with this card for links to the card drive.     These mice are really easy to think up Valentine cards with.

Neat and Tangled - Lumberjack Love & Into the Woods

Here are some other cards that I made for the Cards from the Heart Card Drive.   Find out more here.   Each year Winter runs a card drive collecting Valentine Cards to deliver to children in the hospital on Valentine's Day.   Last year she collected 4707 cards delivered to 17 hospitals and 2 foster homes.  If you are a card maker, hop over to see the details and join in.

I made simple watercolored panels with the two stamps sets and colored them with my Zig Clean Color Markers.    The panels were popped up on some Kraft card stock.

I am adding these cards to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything goes!
