My Favorite Things - Party like a Pirate

Happy Sunday!   I had a little crafty time today and finally got a chance to use this new set from Birdie Brown, Party like a Pirate.   I decided to play in the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch challenge - 338.    I stamped my images out and colored up all the images from the stamp set.   Now I have images ready to go on a card and may make a few more this week!

I started by using the cloud stencil and some Salty Ocean distress ink to add my waves.   I used an older Sun Ray stencil and Squeezed Lemonade for the sun.

The sand was created by blending Gathered Twigs and Rusty Hinge distress inks on some Bristol card stock and spraying it with water and inking again.

I cut a white panel with the Stitched Rectangle Scalloped Frames and cut two panels.   I inked the background on one and did not use the second as the sand was added to the bottom.   This made the sand flushed with the frames.

I stamped a A2 card base made of Sno Cone card stock with the Watercolored Stripes background stamp set using Simon Says Sea Glass ink.    I added my main panel to the card and popped up the colored images with foam tape.  I added some detail to the images with my white gel pen.

I stamped the sentiment in Black Licorice Ink and added sequins for a final touch.

My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge - Mermazing

Happy Sunday to you all!    I played along this week with My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge and created a card with the Birdie Brown Mermazing stamp set.

I stamped the image and colored with Copic Markers.   I also stamped the heart and flag banner with the Mermaid tail background and the Cheesecloth background, both from My Favorite Things.

I die cut the Vertical Stripes cover plate in Nightshift Navy ink, then stamped the heart and fishtail flag banner inks that match the card stock.  I used Sour Apple and Tangy Orange card stock.   I cut the banner with the new stitched fishtail sentiment strips with Versamark ink and used orange embossing powder to match the orange banner and her tail.

I added detail with the white Sakura gel pen and some stippling with the Copic markers.

I added some sequins for some sparkle!

Thanks for stopping by!

Reverse Confetti - Bearing Gifts - Father's Day Card

I have a card to share that I made for Father's Day.   When we were little, we would always take vacations to the Great Smokey Mountains.   So I created this card with those trips in mind.

I created my mountains with the Tall Triangle Confetti Cuts from Reverse Confetti.   To get more use from your dies, try to look at them in different ways, look at the shapes that they create and what other things that could be used than what they were intended.

I stamped and colored the bear and tress from Bearing Gifts with my Copic Markers.   The clouds are from the Take Flight stamp set and they were cut out with the matching Confetti Cut dies.

The sentiment is from the Simply Sentiments stamp set.  I hope my dad likes his Father's day card!

Head over to the Reverse Confetti blog, the 20% off sale is still going on till June 11th!

Reverse Confetti - June Blog Hop!

Hey Friends!  I am participating today as a Fetti Friend for the June Reverse Confetti Blog Hop!   You have hopped to me from the wonderful, Amy Kolling's blog!   I have had so much fun participating with Reverse Confetti last month and this month!

My niece is coming to visit with her daughter from California and when she is here we will celebrate her daughter's fourth birthday with all our family.    Her birthday is not actually till August but who doesn't love having a pre-birthday party!  I decided to make some party favors for her birthday.  Have you ever had an idea in your head and it turns out way better than you anticipated?  Well that is what happened with me when I was creating today's projects!

First up, I made cute cupcake toppers using a mix of several, oh so cute, stamps sets: Miso Happy from the May release, Lift Me Up, Bear Hugs, Monkey Business and Unicorn Wishes!!!  That is right - I used 5 different stamp sets!  They all went so well together and created my little zoo theme!

I stamped and colored the images with my Copic markers.   I then cut them out and layered each of them on top of a scalloped circle and circle base from the Flowers for Mom Confetti Cuts set.   I layered them up on a skewer with lot's of foam tape.   I then added some details with my white gel pen and clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen.  I used some of the smaller images  from the stamp sets - the balloons and party hat from Monkey Business, the cupcakes and birds from the Lift Me Up stamp set and the Linked Garland Confetti Cut.    Several different card stocks from my stash and Reverse Confetti - Bumble Bee (one of my favorite colors!), Mist and Iced Aqua were used to create the colorful collection.

For the goody bags, I picked up some brown paper bags that you can find at your local craft store and stenciled on with the Leaf Lattice stencil with the new inks from the May release.   I used Bumble Bee, Buttercup and Sunshine thru the stencil on each bag.   The bags were stuffed with some candy and then sealed with a matching tags using the same images used for the cupcake toppers.    I added a tag base made from the Sunburst tag layer.   I stamped a sentiment on the banner from Flowers for Mom Confetti cuts from the coordinating stamp sets.    I added a ribbon and stapled to the top of each bag.

Don't forget about the sale going on right now at Reverse Confetti!   All in stock products are 20% off now thru June 11th!

The next stop on the release is Heather Pulvirenti - I can't wait to see what she has created!
Here is the full hop list for you to hop around for lot's a great inspiration!    Please leave a comment on each designer's post for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti shop!  Comments must be left by Sunday, June 11th.

Thanks for hopping and stopping by to see me!

Reverse Confetti - Sketch For You To Try - Think Pink

Happy weekend!   Hope you are enjoying this beautiful day!   I am sharing a card that I made for the Reverse Confetti Sketch for You To Try Challenge!

I used a stamp from the latest release, Think Pink.    If you have not had a chance to get it, Reverse Confetti is having a sale now!   All products are 20% off.    The sale started today on the Reverse Confetti Website!

The sketch below had a background that I decided to stamp out versus using patterned paper.   I used the Elemental stripes set along with some Piggy Bank Ink and black ink on a Piggy Bank card stock base.

After coloring the images, I cut them out with the matching dies.   They were colored in with Copic Markers.   I placed them on a Lacy Scalloped Circle Confetti Cut.

I stamped the sentiment from Circle Wishes stamp set on Black card stock and cut it out with the Circle Wishes Confetti Cut.   I added some sequins for a bit of sparkle.

Join up with this month challenge and link your card for a chance to win a gift certificate the the Reverse Confetti store.
