Gnome Holiday Hug

Hello!  I am sharing a card I made for the Inspired By Challenge.   I love this stamp set from SugarPea Designs.  It is one of my favorite gnome sets that I have.  It is still available, it's called Gnome for Christmas!   I paired it with The Greetery Pine & Berry Background stamp.   I colored in with some of my new Olo markers.

I hope you have a chance to play along with the Inspired By Challenge

Inspired by Sea Decor - Challenge Blog

Hello!  It's. been awhile :-) I have joined up with the Inspired By Challenges!  This week was Sea Decor.  The sketch each week is “inspired by” the photo inspiration (sometimes loosely inspired ). You can use the sketch alone for your inspiration that week, it does not have to be inspired by anything else in the photo inspiration.

I was inspired by both the sketch and the photo!  I used the photo for my theme and loosely used the sketch for placement of my penguins.  These are stamps and dies from SugarPea Designs!   Hop over to the Inspired By Challenge blog and link us with us for this week!

I used Nautical Notions, Salty Seagulls and the Sunburst stencil from Sugarpea Designs.   The sentiment die is from Taylored Expressions and it is called Sentiment Strips Duo.   The cover panel is a Reverse Confetti Stitched Burst Cover Panel.  I used Mango, Pineapple, Lemon Meringue and Potato Chip inks for the stencil from Taylored Expressions.

Thanks for stopping by!

SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge - December

Hello!  I am sharing a Christmas tag I created today playing along with the SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge!  With this challenge, you can use the inspiration photo or the sketch, or Mix It Up and use them both!

Instead of a birthday card, I created a Christmas tag!  I needed a few more tags for my Christmas presents, so I used the Gnome for Christmas stamp set along with the Stitched Scalloped Rectangles.  I started with die cutting two Stitched Scalloped Rectangles from kraft cardstock.   I used the Falling Snow Stencil and stenciled with white pigment ink onto one of the kraft die cuts.   I adhered both kraft die cuts together to create a really sturdy tag!

I die cut a dark green panel with the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle die and then stamped the die cut with the Buffalo Check stamp with dark green ink.   I trimmed it down and adhered to the bottom panel of the tag.   I stamped the images from Gnome for Christmas and colored with my Copic markers.   I die cut the images with the Gnome for Christmas SugarCut.  I stamped a sentiment from Gnome for Christmas to the tag.

Come play along in the challenge!   The full rules are below but you can also see this month's challenge and information on the SugarPea Designs blog post!  Thank you for stopping by!

SugarPea Designs - Hey Winter

Hello!  I am all inspired today with all things Holiday and created this simple Christmas card using Hey Winter and the Chevron Cover Plate.

I stamped the bear from Hey Winter onto some kraft cardstock and then added some shadowing with my Copic markers.   The presents were colored with Copics and I stamped out my tree with olive green ink.   I layered the images from Hey Winter onto two panels created with the Stitched Rectangles and Scalloped Stitched Rectangles SugarCut.

I die cut the holly and berries from the Pocket Tag Christmas Characters SugarCut and matched the colors in my card.   I die cut the Chevron Cover Plate from white and cherry red cardstock and layered onto an A2 card base.   I stamped a sentiment from Hey Winter.

I love the pops of red and aqua against the white!   Off to make sugar cookies and playing holiday movies!   I hope you have a wonderful day!

SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge

It's a new month and there is a new challenge at SugarPea Designs!  I created this icy blue holiday card inspired by the color inspiration in the photo with this months challenge.   You can use the inspiration photo or the sketch for your entry or a combination of both!

I started by stamping the houses from Happy Little Village onto light blue cardstock with light blue and dark blue inks.   I die cut the images out with the Happy Little Village SugarCut.  For my main panel I die cut with the largest die in the Card Front Element Builder SugarCut from blue cardstock with the Star Dust SugarCut.  I backed it with some white glitter cardstock.  It is hard to see in the photos but in real life it adds a lot of sparkle to mimic the ornament in the photo.

For the snowy bank, I die cut white cardstock with the largest die in the Card Front Element Builder SugarCut and then die cut it again with the wavy border die that is also part of this die set.   I stamped a sentiment from Hey Winter stamp set and then added some blue crystal jewels.

Come play along in the challenge!   The full rules are below but you can also see this month's challenge and information on the SugarPea Designs blog post!  Thank you for stopping by!

SugarPea Designs - Christmas Tags

Hello!  I love to make handmade tags for my Christmas presents each year and coordinate it with my wrapping paper.  I have some kraft Christmas paper and these tags I made today will go perfectly with the wrapping paper!

I used the Stitched Rectangles and Stitched Scalloped Rectangles as the base of my tags.  I double up on the Stitched Scalloped die cuts with some black and kraft cardstock.  This helps to keep the tags sturdy and allows for you to write a message on the back of the tag.

I die cut two olive green card panels with the Stitched Rectangles SugarCut and stamped it with the Buffalo Check Background stamp and olive ink.  I trimmed them down to 1.5 inches and adhered to the kraft Stitched Rectangle die cut.

I stamped the Christmas Tree from the Always Welcome stamp set onto cream cardstock and die cut out with the Always Welcome SugarCut.  I adhered this directly to the tag with liquid adhesive.  I die cut the Merry Word with Shadow SugarCut from cherry red and cream cardstock and adhered to the tag.   Punch a hole in the top with a hole punch and add some hemp twine!

These are super simple to create and easy for mass producing for the holidays!   Change up the color combinations to match your holiday papers! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

SugarPea Designs - Mix It Up Challenge- S"more Fun

It's time again for a new Mix It Up Challenge at SugarPea Designs!  Each month there is a new challenge with an inspiration photo and a sketch that you can pick one or mix it up!   I drew inspiration for my card from the photo this month.  Nothing better than cozy flannel and some warm cookies!

I decided to create a S'more Treat Gift Card Holder.   I used the snowman from the Christmas Characters SugarCut as the topping of my S'more.   To create the S'more, I die cut two panels:  1) one from the Postage Stamp Cover Plate from kraft cardstock and then inked the edges with some brown ink. 2) for the chocolate layer, I die cut from espresso cardstock with the Stitched Rectangles and inked the edges with dark brown ink.

I layered my graham cracker and chocolate onto a panel of cream cardstock that had been stamped with the Buffalo Check Background Stamp to mimic the flannel blanket.  I adhered the panels with liquid adhesive to A2 card base.   I die cut all the pieces of the snowman from the Christmas Characters SugarCut and then layered onto the Floral Pocket Tag SugarCut.   The snowman will hold a gift card tucked behind in the pocket on the back of the tag.   My sentiment is from Cool Treats and went perfectly with this card!

SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek Week - New Release!

Welcome back to the final day of the Sweet Peek Week for SugarPea Designs Fall Collection!  Today we have book inspired new products to share: Basic Bookmark, Book Club stamp set and Book Words SugarCut!

I made this Slimline card with a detachable bookmark!  I decided to go with a Halloween theme for my project today.  I paired these new products with the super cute Bewitched stamp set.   I started with the Basic Bookmark SugarCut and die cut from black and off white cardstock.  I die cut two off white and pair one with the black die cut to create a firm bookmark.  I then trimmed some off the third die cut that was off white and layered onto the black bookmark.  This gave me a place to use my Block Alphabet die cuts create my custom message.

The sentiment is from the Book Club stamp set and I die cut the Book Words to layer on top of my stack of tiny books.   I stamped a background with the Handwritten Letter Background stamp.  I used temporary adhesive to adhere it to the card panel and it can be taken off and used as a bookmark!   I stamped the images from Bewitched and colored with my Copic markers.   I layered them onto the panel by only adhering foam tape on the right side of the images.  That way the bookmark can easily slide out.

The new release is available today!  Check it out on the SugarPea Designs Blog!!  Here is the link to today's post!
