Inspired by Challenge - Grumpy Christmas

Hello!  I am sharing a new Christmas card that I made with some new to me Taylored Expressions goodies.  I used the Big Grumpy stamp and die set along with the Swirling Snow Background stamp. The theme this week is candy cane.  I used the Big Grumpy Christmas stamp that are Christmas accessories for the Big Grumpy stamp set.

Such a cute set that has some snarky greetings!  Any for those of us that are perfectionist - most definitely the holidays can bring out the grumpiness when the pressures of doing it all come to a head!

Thankfully I have managed to keep my sanity this year!  Come play along with this weeks Inspired by Challenge!

Happy Holidays!

Inspired By Challenge - Stockings

Hello!  There is a new challenge at the Inspired By Challenge blog! This week's theme is Stocking!  I knew exactly the stamp set that I would use, it is an older one but one that I love so much! It's called Stocking Stuffers from Concord & 9th. I don't see it on their site but you can still find at several stores.  It has an interactive die included.

The background is also an older Whimy Stamps background that it still one of my favorites to use at Christmas time! I white embossed the Ho, Ho, Ho sentiment from the Stocking Stuffers stamp set.  Everything was colored with my Copic markers.

I hope you have time to join us for the Inspired by Challenge this week

Poppystamps - Cool Yule

Hello there!  It's time for a new card challenge with Poppystamps!  This month's theme is Cool Yule!

I created this holiday card with the Wide Pine Needle Shoots Craft die along with the Nordic Doves die.   I love the Nordic dies from Poppystamps with the layers that you can add and the tiny details like in the doves wings.   I did a ombre tree with a variety of green card scraps and die cut with the Wide Pine Needle Shoots die.  I added a tree topper using the star from the XXX and silver cardstock from the Vintage Pastel Mirror card pack.

My main card panel is a layer of light blue vellum cardstock and underneath I have the Nordic Flourish Background die for a look of lace underneath the panel.   The sentiment is from the Christmas Banners clear stamp and die set.

Inspired by Gifts - The Greetery

Hello!  Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends!   I am popping in to share the latest Inspired By Challenge - Inspired by Gifts!   I love to make gift tags for my presents and The Greetery has the best stamps and dies for this!  I used the Tear Strip Tags die and Tear Strip Tags Stamp set for the flag tags - these are super quick to make and so easy when you need a tag quick - one pass of the stamp and die is 4 double tags!

For the bigger tags, I used the new Wrapped in Love Stamp set and Wrapped in Love die!  I love these!  You get all the little crafty things like the wrapping paper, tape, scissors, washi!  It is so much fun!  I whipped some of these up to add to my tag stash!

Come join along with this weeks Inspired By Challenge!! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Interactive Haunted House - Taylored Expressions

Hello! I hope you are having a wonderful day!  I am sharing a card that I created for the Inspired By Challenge this week.  The theme this week is Boo!  I had this card in mind with the Haunted Mansion Cutting Plate and the Moonlight Layering Stencil.   I made an easel card so that the moon would be able to move around the sky.

I started by inking a panel of Plum Punch cardstock with Huckleberry and Plum Punch inks.  I then stamped the panel with the Spiderweb Cling and Clear Combo stamp with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I then splattered the panel with Dr. PH Martin's Bleed Proof White ink.   I then used the Moonlight Layering stencil and blended with Potato Chip, Mango and Pineapple inks.  I die cut the moon out with a circle die.

I die cut the Haunted Mansion Cutting Plate three times from Black Licorice cardstock.  I adhered two of the die cuts together and then layered some orange vellum in between the layered haunted house and the third die cut.  I also layered up the moon with another die cut circle.  I poked a hole for a brad above the window on the top right of the haunted house.   I layered one of the ghosts from Little Critters Halloween to cover the brad.  I colored several of the Little Critter images with my Copics and some Olo markers.  I stamped and die cut some sentiments using the Exclamation Points Die and Clear combo set.

To assemble the card, I used an A2 card base and scored at 2 3/4 inches.  I trimmed the inked panel in half and adhered to the card panel with liquid adhesive.  I then added liquid adhesive to the lower half of the panel being careful not to add any adhesive to the upper part.   I then adhered my stamped and die cut little critters to the panel with a mixture of foam tape and liquid adhesive.  The inside panel I used a sentiment from Ghostly Greetings stamp set and die.

Check out this video here for a peek at how the card works!

Ghosts! Goblins! Halloween!

Hello! I am sharing a Halloween card I made for the Inspired By Challenge.  This weeks theme is Ghosts!  I love Halloween!  I used Taylored Expressions Trick or Treat Border die along with the Moonlight Layering Stencil. I started by card by ink blending with Plum Punch, Dragon Fruit, Pumpkin and Mango inks onto Sugar Cube cardstock.

I die cut from Black Licorice cardstock the Trick or Treat Border die and stamped with the Ghostly Greetings stamp set.

Here is this weeks inspiration photo and sketch!

For the Moonlight stencil, I used Potato Chip and Sea Salt inks to blend the moon. I stamped it with Versamark ink and used some glow in the dark embossing powder.   I die cut the stamped panel with a circle die.

Trick or Treat - The Greetery

Hello!  I am popping in to share my project this week for the Inspired by Challenge.  This week's inspiration was Tail Gate!  I love a fall tail gate party and created these carmel apple snack kits for a party!

I still had some of my Greetery Harvest release on my craft desk and whipped up a few of these to share.   I love carmel apples and it's the perfect time to share!  I used the new carmel apple die with the Tear Strip Tags Halloween stamp set with the Tear Strip die to create the tags.  I added to a Stitched Scallops Notecard die.   I added instructions for how to prepare.

Peace, Love and Belly Rubs - Poppystamps

Hello!  I am sharing a holiday card I made for friends or loved ones that love dogs!  I used some new Poppystamps Christmas release to create this card!  I am also using the sketch for this weeks Inspired by Challenge.

I used the Holiday Corgie along with the Peace, Love and Belly Rubs die.   My background was created using a Hot Foil plate from Erin Lee Creative called Classic Stripes.  If you have not checked out Erin Lee Creative, she has some great prices for her Hot Foil plates!  They are so much fun to work with!

I created the background with the Classic Stripes hot foil plate and kraft cardstock.  I then die cut a panel of what cardstock for the glittered Peace, Love and Belly Rubs die cut sentiment from Glitter Glitz cardstock from Poppystamps.

I die cut the Holiday Corgi from Poppystamps from white cardstock and colored with my Copic markers.  Come play along with the Inspired By Challenge!  Link up here

Happy Fright Night -Taylored Expressions

Hello!  Happy Fall!  You know I just love Halloween.  I have been getting into all the spooky things and using my Halloween and Fall inspired stamps and dies!  My house is all decked out!  Still thinking about what I may do with my outside to make it all spooky!  But I know one thing for sure, we cannot wait to do some pumpkin carving.  That will need to wait till Halloween!  Until then, I can create spooky cards!

For the Inspired By Challenge this week, the inspiration is Pumpkins!  EEK!  I used all Taylored Expressions for my project today:

Stamp: Spooky Season Stamp

Die: Snack-O-Lantern Shaker Die

Inks: Mango, Pumpkin, Peaches'n Cream, Sweet Potato Pie, Plum Punch, VersaFine Clair Nocturne

I started by inking my panel with the Peaches'n Cream, Sweet Potato Pie, Pumpkin and Plum Punch.   I then stamped the panel with the Spooky Seasons Stamp and used the VersaFine Clair Nocturne for the bats.   I then splattered the panel with Chocolate Truffle ink.  I then splattered it with Silver Metallic inks from Tim Holtz.

I die cut the Snack-O-Lantern from black licorice and some yellow cardstock from my scraps.  I stamped and embossed a sentiment from Spooky Season and then ink blended the XXXX panel with Mango ink.  I finished the card by adding some orange stars from the Halloween Bit's & Pieces.  I just LOVE how the card turned out!!!

Oh Nuts! - The Greetery

Hello!  I hope you are doing well today.   It's time again for another Inspired By Challenge!   This week's inspiration is Acorns - there is an inspiration photo and a sketch, you can use one or both!   I used some of my new The Greetery August release products that I just bought.  I used the Jumbo Curiosity: Acorns Die, Fall Foodie stamp set and the Herringbone Parquet die.

I added a previously released die called Big Branches: Ruscus die.  I used two die cuts and then trimmed one and popped it up in various places to surround the acorns.   I love the pop of orange against the dark browns!  I splattered the leaves with some dark ink.

To finish off the card, I added some gold pearls from Pink Fresh.  I hope that you get an opportunity to play along!  Check out the blog post here!

I used Distress Oxide inks to add details to my die cuts in rich browns, oranges and greens.   To add details to the panel, I used some Black Soot Distress Oxide ink.  I embossed the sentiments with gold embossing powder onto some dark brown cardstock.     Thanks for stopping by!

You're Unbe-LEAF-able!

Hello everyone!  I am sharing my card that I made for the Inspired By Challenge!   I had SO MUCH FUN creating this card!  First off, I got all inky with my surgical gloves and many different Distress Inks!  I did a lot of ink smooshing!  I have not done this in such a long time!  I trimmed down a 3.5 inch square of watercolor cardstock and then got to inking, spritzing and smooshing!

I knew I wanted several different colors of leafs.  So I paired three different colors of Distress Inks to create burgundy, orange, yellow, green and brown leaves.  I would ink, spray, splatt and dry the squares with my heat gun.  I repeated this till I got some light and dark areas.   I then splattered with some dark brown watercolor.

I had some large leaves and smaller leaves and went with the smaller leaves.   I popped up each leaf with foam tape.  I then added a sentiment from The Greetery with the Way to Grow stamp set.   I used a die cut flag from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips Die.
