Whimsy Stamps Slimline Instagram Hop! Introducing the Slimline Scallop Peekaboo 1 die

Hey! We are hopping over on Instagram today with Whimsy Stamps!   We are featuring the awesome Slimline Dies!  They were the first company to start making these dies and if you have been following me, then you know how I love Slimline cards!   :-)

Whimsy Stamps is the innovator of slimline dies, having been the first company to manufacture and introduce dies designed to help you create those increasingly-popular, slimline cards. To celebrate that achievement, we are having an IG hop and giving one lucky follower a $25 gift certificate to the store. The hop starts now on @whimsystamps Instagram account and is open until Monday, August 31st at midnight EST.

Come hop along with us for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the Whimsy Store!   But you cannot comment here - you need to go to my Instagram page and look for this photo below and follow the directions in my post!

For another chance to win, check out Whimsy Stamps’ Slimline Dies YouTube hop!

I am using the new Slimline Scallop Peekaboo 1 die and this has some really cool touches!   You get such great details with this die - there is a scallop border with stitching that goes all the way around.   The die comes with two peekaboo windows and have these lovely "x" scattered along the border and between the peekaboo windows!  There is score line for each window.

A little tip that I discovered making this card, I used some temporary adhesive on the inside of my window flaps so I can close it and you just have to apply a little bend to the card and these pop open!

I used the Gnomies stamp set to create my card.  I added images to the front and inside of the card.   I used Happy Sky and Fadoodles Hearts to decorate my panel as well.

Be sure to go to my Instagram page and follow the directions to be entered into the giveaway, hop along the hop and take a look at the Whimsy store at all their Slimline dies!

SugarPea Designs - Sweet Peek Week Day 4

Welcome back to day four os the Sweet Peek Week at SugarPea Designs.   This is such an awesome release.  Today's products are a little more on the modern style with some catchy sentiments given our current situation!   I am sharing the new Let's Stay Home stamp set and the new Torn Strips Stencil.

As soon as I saw this stamp set I new that I wanted a velvet mustard chair!   Oh I would love to have a chair like this in my house.  I am on the hunt so if you find one - share a picture with me!   I can drool over it!

I used my Peerless Watercolors because they are so bright and really intense with color pigment.   I stamped my images from Let's Stay Home with Versafine Onyx Black ink and clear heat embossed them.   I watercolored all my images.   I die cut them out with the matching Let's Stay Home SugarCut.   I used the circle die from the Birch Forest SugarCut and die cut a white circle.   This was the foundation for my stamped and colored images.

For my panel, I used the new Torn Strips Stencil and ink blended with light grey ink.   I die cut the panel with the Card Front Element Builder III SugarCut.  Once the ink was dry, I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set.   I finished off the card with some hemp twine and added some crystal sequins.    Links to the new products will go live at 2 pm on August 28th!

Don't forget to stop at the SugarPea Designs page here check out the new products and leave a comment!   You will be entered to win a $50 voucher certificate at SugarPea Designs.  Be sure to also leave comments along the Design Team blog for extra entries!   Leave you comments by August 30th!

SugarPea Designs - Sweet Peek Week Day 3

Happy Wednesday!   Today is day three of the Sweet Peek Week at SugarPea Designs and today I am sharing this fall card with the new Autumn Background and Autumn Blessings!  I love this new background stamp!  Immediately, I knew that I wanted to watercolor the panel with a loose style with yummy fall colors!

I stamped the background on to Bristol Smooth paper and heat embossed it.   I then colored with my Zig markers.   It went super quick because I did a loose look and really did not worry about blending, etc.   It colored up super fast.   The background stamp is 6x6 inches.

I stamped my sentiment from Autumn Blessings and die cut with the Card Front Element Builder II SugarCut.  I love the script in this stamp set!   There are 6 sentiments and some accents images to use.
I finished it off with some matching jewels.

For my next card, I stamped the background onto brick colored cardstock.   I used matching ink for tone on tone look.   I then die cut it with the new Card Front Element Builder III SugarCut.   Behind the thick strips I backed it with some mustard paper.

I used the new Thanks Word with Shadow SugarCut for my sentiment.   I added some of the die cuts from the Open Book SugarCut.   I love those little flower accents.

Don't forget to stop at the SugarPea Designs page here check out the new products and leave a comment!   You will be entered to win a $50 voucher certificate at SugarPea Designs -  2 winners will be announced on the SugarPea Designs blog on August 31st!   Be sure to also leave comments along the Design Team blog for extra entries!

SugarPea Designs - Sweet Peek Week Day 2

Welcome back to day two of the Sweet Peek of the Fall release with SugarPea Designs!
Today, we are sharing the new Hey Fall stamp set, Hey Fall SugarCut and the Birch Forest SugarCut.   I created a slimline design card using today's products.   My measurements for the card panel are 3.5 inches by 8.25 inches and then the card base is 7.5 inches by 8.5 inches, scored at 3.75 inches.

I started by die cutting the Birch Forest SugarCut from the right side of the card panel.  I then ink blended behind the Birch Forest SugarCut with Distress Oxides in Fossilized Amber and Wild Honey.   I then used some post it tape across the panel to create my ground and then ink blended with Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass for the sky.

I stamped my images from Hey Fall (my favorite bears are back!) and colored with my Copic markers.   I stamped a few of the accessory images directly onto my card panel.   I die cut the images out using the matching Hey Fall SugarCut.   I just love these bears!  They are so adorable! I added some details with my white gel pen.
