Last post today! Online Card Classes Background Check

This is a card in progress.    I did not take a picture of the background before cutting up but the center was left lighter than the rest of the card.   This was my favorite background that I did for the class.    This is plaid background with Distress ink blending.    I have not finished the card yet but wanted to get the background posted.

Inks: MFT Hybrid Black Licorice, SSS Fog, Slate, Distress, Versamark

Online Card Classes - Stretch your Stamps 2!!

I am participating with the Online Card Classes Stretch your Stamps and I am sooooo behind!   I have been super busy this past week and did not have a lot of stamping time to try out some of the cool techniques.

First Up:

Faux Watercolor Background Stamping - this is the Tim Holtz Reverse Damask Background stamp and I used different colored distress inks to create my faux watercolor background.

Second up:   Using your alphabet stamps in a new way….Ok this card did not turn out like I anticipated.  I did not have time to fix my mistake.   I took the stamps off my stamp press before I finished the card and really should have left it on and stamped my "background alphabet" in a darker ink.   You can barely see it after I applied Tumbled Glass distress ink for my background.  Oh well!  I learned my lesson.
This card uses Lawn Fawn Milo's ABC's and MFT Sunny Thoughts.

Online Card Class - Watercolor for Card Makers

I have been taking the Online Card Class and had time to do some of the lessons.   I tried all three of day one classes out today.   I will have to wait till this weekend to do more of the lessons.   I pretty much stuck with the technique as it was instructed.    I loved how all three of my cards turned out.   It was a lot of fun!    Watercolor is very relaxing!   It is hard to mess it up!

My first card is using Distress inks and spritzing with water on a acrylic block to create a watercolor background.

Inks: Distress Festive Berries, Spiced Marmalade, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers
Tools: Spritzer, Acrylic block, Paper Smooches Thanks die
Paper:  Watercolor paper, MFT Whip Cream
