SugarPea Designs - Hey Baby!

Isn't the June release from SugarPea Designs amazing?   I used two of the new stamp sets to make a sweet baby card, Hey Summer and Everyday Sentiments.

For my card base, I did some dry embossing with the Honeycomb Cover Plate onto a Kraft card panel.    I added this to a Kraft card base.  I die cut two Zig Zag Stitched Circles from Aqua and White cardstock and layered them together on top of the Kraft embossed panel.

I stamped the images from Hey Summer onto some Neenah cardstock and then colored with my Copic markers.   After die cutting them with the Hey Summer SugarCut I layered them onto the Zig Zag Stitched Circle with foam tape.    I added some detail with my Sakura Clear Glitter brush.   I added a little pink to the nose!

I die cut black cardstock with the Sentiment Strips SugarCut and then white heat embossed the Welcome Little One from the Everyday Sentiments.     For a final touch, I added some clear sparkling sequins.

I love that you can use the Hey Summer stamp set to create little scenes.   These are my favorite type of cards to make.   You could make a beach scene with the surf board and beach ball or create a sweet meadow scene with the flowers and birds.    The Everyday Sentiments set is sure to be a staple in your craft room and with the Sentiment Strips, you get these perfect sentiments that you can combine together or just use one!    Thanks for stopping by today!

Reverse Confetti - Tall Blooms

Happy Saturday!   I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!   I played along with Freshly Made Sketches today and created this card using the Reverse Confetti Tall Blooms stamp set.    I stamped the images from Tall Blooms onto Premier Polar White cardstock and then colored with my Copic markers.

I die cut them out with the Tall Blooms Confetti Cuts.   For my card panel, I used some Kraft cardstock and die cut the Stitched Rays Cover Panel and swiped all the sides with some kraft ink.   I die cut a Polka Panel from the same Kraft cardstock and then layered it on top of Kraft panel that had been trimmed down to match the Polka panel.    I added a strip of peach cardstock and then added some Iced Aqua strip to the panel.

For the sentiment, I used the Word Up stamp set for the tiny greeting and white heat embossed it onto a strip of Kraft cardstock.   I layered up several pieces of Kraft cardstock to give it some dimension.

After my panel was completed, I then added the flowers and gathered them into a bunch and tied them with some Hemp twine.   I added a few drops of Nuvo in Bubblegum Blush.   That is it for me today!   Here is a link to the Freshly Made Sketch Challenge

I hope you get a chance to play along!   Have a great day!  Thank you for stopping by!

SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek Week - Day Five!

It's the final day for the SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek Week!    Today we are sharing Cool Treats stamp set along with the Cool Treats SugarCut  and the new Waves Stencil!    I started my card by ink blending with the Waves Stencil and used Distress inks in Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon and Black Soot onto Bristol Smooth cardstock.

I did a gradient ink blend and left it white on the bottom of the card panel.   Once I was done, I removed the Waves Stencil and took what was left on the sponges and went over the panel again.   This put a light layer over the top of the ink blending panel.   I then trimmed it down it down with the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle SugarCut.

I stamped the penguin from Cool Treats onto some additional Bristol Smooth cardstock with Versafine Black Onyx ink and clear heat embossed the images.   I watercolored the images with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.

Once they were dry, I die cut them out with the Cool Treats SugarCut.    I stamped a sentiment from Cool Treats onto black cardstock and then white heat embossed it.   I trimmed it down and adhered it to the panel with foam tape.   I adhered the Cool Treats images down with foam tape and added some clear sparkle with my Spectrum Noir pen.    For a final touch I added Nuvo drops in Morning Dew.

SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek Week - Day Four

Welcome to the fourth day for the SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek Week!   I have two cards to share with you today using the new Mermaid Kisses and Scales Cover Plate.     I used the new Scales Cover Plate two different ways.   I love cover plates, they are some of my favorite dies to work with because they can be used in so many different ways.

For my first card, I used the new Scales Cover Plate and used it as a stencil.   I die cut it from some acetate and then ink blended with three different colors of Distress Inks.   I used Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and then Tumbled Glass.   Then I covered the stencil with Nuvo Moonstone glitter paste and set it aside to dry.

For the main image on the card, I stamped a mermaid from the new Mermaid Kisses and colored with my Copic markers.   I die cut it out with the Mermaid Kisses SugarCut.   I added some details with my white gel pen.   I trimmed down the Scales Cover Panel that I made to fit on the front of a white card base.    The sentiment was stamped on the inside of the card.   I added some Nuvo Dream Drops in Fairy Wing on the pearl on the oyster to finish the card off.

For the next card, I used Distress Oxide Sprays to make the ink blended panel.  I sprayed and splattered with water several times.    I set it aside to dry.   I die cut the Scales Cover Plate from Neenah 80 lb card stock and then added it to the inked panel.

I stamped two of the mermaids from Mermaid Kisses and then colored with my Copic markers.   I die cut them out with the Mermaid Kisses SugarCut.   I stamped a sentiment onto a Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle.   I added details with my white gel pen.  The Mermaid Kisses has three mermaid images that are the sweetest!

New products will be available on Friday, June 21st at 6 pm EST.   Here is a list of all the designers and the Sweet Peeks that they have to share with you today!    Be sure to stop back by tomorrow for the last day of the Sweet Peek!

SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek Week - Day Three

Welcome back to day three of the SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek Week!   We are featuring Hey Summer today and I totally love this stamp set.   It has the cutest bears with summer accessories to make some adorable scenes!    I made two cards today to showcase this new stamp set!

I stamped Hey Summer onto Neenah card stock and colored with my Copic markers.   I die cut them out with the coordinating Hey Summer SugarCuts.    To make my little summer scenes, I used the Zig Zag Stitched Circles and die cut 5 circles using the largest one.   For two of them, I trimmed down the circle with the Card Front Element Builder.

I used my Distress Oxides inks and then added some color for the sand and sky.    I flicked some water onto the panel.    I made a circle card for one and scored a little area at the top of the circle and then adhered it to my scene circle.

I gave the bear from Hey Summer a little sunburn on his nose!   I love his little red swim trunks and thought he needed a popsicle to cool him down!   Hey Summer is so adorable!    I can't wait to ink it up again!

For the A2 card, I am sneaking a new product that will be showcasing Friday!  I dry embossed it onto Kraft card stock and added my second scene to the card panel.   In real life, the embossing pops off the card base.   I ran the whole base thru and it has the impression on the both pieces of the card base.

For this bear, I wanted him to have a surf board.   I googled surf board's because I know that there are so many out there with cool designs.    I found a number of them that I liked.    I kept my pretty simple but I had so much fun blending my Copics for the surf board.   I used yellow and blue and got the cool green in the middle.   I then covered it with some Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle.   I just love the sentiment for this card!   I stamped it with Versafine Onyx Black and then clear embossed it.
Instead of a sunburnt nose, he got some sunburned cheeks!

Ok that is it for me today!    I cannot wait to see what everyone has created with Hey Summer.   Here is a list of all the designers and the Sweet Peeks that they have to share with you today!    We have two more days so be sure to stop back by!

SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek Week - Day Two

It's day two for the SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek Week of the June Release!  Today we are sharing four new products today:  King of the Grill stamp set, Grill Master stamp set, Grill Master SugarCuts and Backyard BBQ SugarCuts.  This set was so perfect for my husband!   He definitely is the grill master in our household and in fact, he is the main cook in the house!

I started off with Grill Master and knew I needed to make a card for him.    I started with stamping the images from Grill Master onto Neenah and coloring with my Copic markers.   I die cut the images using the Grill Master SugarCuts.

To set the scene, I layered several panels of card stock, the blue and white patterned paper is from the Spots & Stripes Brights Patterned Paper Collection.   The red panel was die cut with the Postage Stamp SugarCuts.  I layered a white and grey card panel together and die cut them both with the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle.

The grey rectangle was trimmed down with the Card Front Element Builder  I stamped two of the sentiments onto the white panel.   Perfect sentiment for my hubby!  ;-)

Next up, I used both the Backyard BBQ along with the King of the Grill stamp set to create a BBQ invitation.   I love the sentiments from the King of the Grill Stamp set.   There are some punny sentiments.   I loved the BBQ invite and used that for my card theme for this card.

I die cut all the elements from Backyard BBQ SugarCut and then colored the images with my Copic Markers.   It is much easier to cut them all from white card stock and then color them your choice of colors!   I literally colored all the images and then selected what I wanted for the card.   In the end, I decided to go with the beverage theme with some of the die cuts.

I used more patterned paper from Spots & Stripes Brights Patterned Paper Collection and followed the same theme of my first card, I die cut two panels with the Postage Stamp SugarCut and trimmed the grey card stock down with the Card Front Element Builder SugarCut.   I stamped and embossed by sentiment from King of the Grill stamp set with silver embossing powder.

That is it for me today!    I will be sharing projects during the Sweet Peek Week!  Please be sure to come back for the next three days for more great new products from the SugarPea Designs June Release!   Be sure to leave comments along the way for a chance to win!  More details are on the SugarPea Designs blog! Along with a full blog list below of all the designers sharing inspiration with you today!
