Halloween Hello -- Simon Says Anything Goes Challenge

I had wanted to create a black and white vintage image and this stamp set was perfect for that feel!   I created the card to look like a vintage black and white photo.    I colored with various Copic grey inks and then the final touch is an E41 over parts of the image to add a vintage touch.

Let's Chill - My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge

All the new fall and holiday releases are just starting and summer is hotter than ever!    This is the time of year, that I long for fall days.   Don't know about where you are but it is so hot and humid now.   I almost can't bear being outside.    Last week we had a cool front come in and it reminded me of fall and you can't help but long for cool, fall days.        I made a cool card to share for this week's sketch.

This was a stamp set that I recently got, I had not gotten it when it released earlier this summer but just loved it.  Love these little penguins!  They are so cute.

This is a 4 1/4 by 4 1/4 sized card.

Creating Backgrounds - My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge

I am a little late posting this card.   I had some trouble with the internet last night and it was just not cooperating.  (also - I had to watch Fear of the Walking Dead, huge Walking Dead fan!)  I wanted no distractions!

I started out with something else in mind.  I was going to use the piece that was the background piece to cut out my oval focal point but after I created the background paper, I could not cut it up!   It turned out so pretty as a background, instead that is what I used it for.

Stamps: MFT Written In Watercolor LJD Scribble Roses, Birthday Chalkboard Greetings
Inks: MFT Hybrid Black Licorice, Versafine Onyx Black, Versamark, Distress inks in Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, Spun Sugar, Crushed Olive, Peeled Paint
Papers: MFT Whip Cream, Watercolor, SU Basic Black
Tools: MFT Double Stitched Oval, Fishtail Flag stax, LJD Scribble Rose Dienamic, Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose, Pretty Pink Posh Clear Sequins 4 mm and  8 mm, Clear and White Hero Arts Embossing Powder

Stamping Bella - Tiny Townies - Blossom Loves Ballons

I stopping in for a quick share for a card that I created using a stamp that I picked up at the Scrapbook Expo.   Love these little images and they are so sweet to color. I used copics to color the image and my Distress inks to add the background.  I added some white dot details with my Sakura Gel Pen.   Glossy accents was used to highlight the balloons.      Thanks so much for stopping by!

Watercoloring with Distress Inks with Gorjuss

I really love to watercolor and there are so many different mediums on the market to watercolor with.    This was an image that I used my Distress Markers for watercoloring.    These images are pretty large and so I created a 5x7 card instead of cutting it down.   I colored the image on the rougher side of the watercolor paper to give it texture since I kept it pretty simple.

I left the card without a sentiment so that I can use it for whatever I need, birthday card, thinking of you, etc.    I kept it pretty flat for easy mailing.

Stamps: Gorjuss I gave you my heart
Inks: Ranger Archival Black, Distress inks
Papers: Watercolor, MFT Whip Cream, SU Basic Black, MME
Tools: Pico Embellisher Clear, Wink of Stella Clear, Sewing Machine

Sunshine Hello - My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge

I got my new release order this week and I really have not had any crafty time to play with them.   I made a card using an ink blended background that I recently made from taking the Online Card Classes Background Check.    I have a couple of cards that I created with the inked backgrounds.   First up my card for this weeks sketch.   I used the sketch for inspiration instead of strictly sticking to the sketch.   I used the 4 squares as a quadrant and that is how I lined up my images for the card.
