Inspired By Challenge - Stockings

Hello!  There is a new challenge at the Inspired By Challenge blog! This week's theme is Stocking!  I knew exactly the stamp set that I would use, it is an older one but one that I love so much! It's called Stocking Stuffers from Concord & 9th. I don't see it on their site but you can still find at several stores.  It has an interactive die included.

The background is also an older Whimy Stamps background that it still one of my favorites to use at Christmas time! I white embossed the Ho, Ho, Ho sentiment from the Stocking Stuffers stamp set.  Everything was colored with my Copic markers.

I hope you have time to join us for the Inspired by Challenge this week

Coffee Loving Cardmakers for a Coffee Date!

Hey there!  I am joining the Coffee Loving Cardmakers for a Coffee date today!  I am so excited to be Amy's Coffee date. Amy invited me years ago to be on a design team and we have worked virtually together for several years.  I just love her style and love to see what she is up to on her blog and instagram page!   She shared with me the inspiration photo below and I pulled the colors for my card using the inspiration photo!  Now, I must confess, I am not a coffee drinker but I do love hot chocolate!!!!

I had the perfect stamp set that I picked up last year during the holidays but never stamped up! The stamp is from Elizabeth Craft Designs and it is called Marshmallow Snowmen.   It has the cutest images and I loved the one that I used on my card today!

I used some stamp masking to mask off the peppermint candies with the hot chocolate mug.  I stamped the main image directly onto a die cut circle.  I colored the image with my Copic markers.   I love the little marshmallow snowman! How cute is he!

I love the pinks and aquas in the inspiration photo and found the perfect colors to create this card!

I stamped a sentiment from Concord & 9th called Mistletoe Messages.  It was perfect for a warm a toastsy greeting.   I used some patterned papers using the Reverse Confetti Winter Solstice.   For some finer details, I added some Distress Stickles in Diamond to the gumdrop cap and some details with a white gel pen.

Hop over to the Coffee Loving Cardmarkers Blog and check out all the cute and fun inspiration just waiting for you!   She has a giveaway today to share!   Have fun! Cheers!

Winter Bears with Snowflakes

Popping in today to share a winter card that I made with some new goodies that I got.   I used Winter Bears from Elizabeth Crafts Designs and a Snowflake Turnabout stamp set from Concord & 9th.   I stamped my image out and then colored in with my Copics.

I then did a little creative masking so I would not have to fussy cut the image from masking paper and stamped the snowflakes all over the panel from the Winter Bears Stamp set.    I then die cut it out with a circle die that appears to be retired from MFT.    I die cut another layer of Steel Grey cardstock from MFT with another circle die.

My card base is Grout Gray and it was stamped with Smoke ink from Simon Says Stamp onto the Grout Gray cardstock.   It had some left over ink from stamping with a blue ink pad - I thought I had cleaned it!   But I liked the way the blue and gray ink combined that I continued to stamp like this and loved how it turned out.

I added some glittery baker's twine and some Tim Holtz snowflake and wish charm.    I added some clear sparkle to the pom pom and his snowflake on his nose.   I just love his nose!   It is so cute!    Thank you for stopping by today!

Concord & 9th - Hello Lovely

Hello there!   Happy Friday to you.    I am sharing some cards that I watercolored recently using the Concord & 9th Hello Lovely stamp set.    The first card the image was stamped and heat embossed with clear embossing powder and watercolored with my Zig Clean Color Markers.

The second card was just stamped with black ink and water colored with my Peerless watercolors.

Both watercolored panels were then cut down with the Stitched and Scalloped Basic border edges and placed on a colored card stock bases.   I white heat embossed a sentiment from another Concord & 9th stamp set called Butterfly Beauty and stitched to the main panel with my sewing machine.

Thanks for stopping by!
