My Favorite Things - Birthday Chicks

Happy Saturday to you!   Last weekend, we went on a quick trip and to craft on the go, I decide to stamp out some stamps sets that I had not been able to ink up yet and take them with me for some coloring on the go.   One of the stamps that I took with me was this one from My Favorite Things called Birthday Chicks.   I loved these little bird images and the cards from the Design Team were so much fun that I could not resist this stamp set.    So with my stamped out images, I made three cards.

For my first card, I used a mix of yellow and blue birds that I colored with my Copic Markers.  I added details with my Signo Uniball Gel pen.   For the card panel, I stamped some MFT Insulation Pink card stock with Reverse Confetti Peach ink using a background stamp that has been retired.  I added a white panel that had been die cut with the Stitched Scallop Basic Edge die.    I added a Fishtail Flag sentiment strip stamped and embossed in white.

For my next card,  I used that same background stamp but you could use anything in your stash.  This time I stamped on Pink Lemonade cardstock from MFT with Simon Says Stamp Cotton Candy ink.    I added some clouds from a die cut border from Lawn Fawn.   I added a strip of Summer Splash cardstock stamped with a small polka dot background stamp with Simon Says Stamp Sea Glass ink.   I added Glossy Accents to the balloon and Sparkling Clear Sequins to give this a little sparkle.

My last card, I used a new WISH die from MFT and incorporated my birds as part of the word die.    The WISH was die cut from Summer Splash cardstock and stamped with the diagonal background stamp.   The Pink Insulation card base was stamped with the Cotton Candy ink with the Polka Dot background stamp.  My WISH needed a base so I added a strip of white card stock and layered some Silver glitter card stock.  I added some Glossy Accents to the balloon.

I had so much fun creating these cards!    I am adding these to the following challenges:

Reverse Confetti - March SFYTT - Honey Bear

Hey there 'Fetti Friends!  I hope that you are doing well today!  I am sharing with you today my take on the March SFYTT.   I loved this sketch and pretty much stuck with the sketch as it was.   Each month Reverse Confetti hosts a sketch challenge, you can stick to the sketch or let it inspire you with the open spaces to build off of it to create your own interpretation!

On to my project......I used the new Honey Bear stamp set, AGAIN!   I think I have a new obsession. I love the little bears in this stamp set.   This as so many great and unique sentiments.    I also used the new 6x6 paper pad, Fun Times!   I used a grey patterned paper and trimmed it to the full size of an A2 card base made from white cardstock.    I usually go for bold and bright but today I went soft and pastel for my colors.

I stamped my the clouds and bear from Honey Bear onto the Premier Polar White cardstock, I LOVE this cardstock for Copic coloring.  The alcohol markers really blend nicely on it.  I love the pink on his belly.    I also stamped a kite from the Take Flight stamp set.    I die cut the images using the Honey Bear Confetti Cuts and the Take Flight Confetti Cuts.

To follow the card sketch, I used the Fa La La Circle Confetti Cuts and die cut some Stormy cardstock with the pinked edge and then die cut two circles (from Fa La La Circle) with Mist and Stone cardstock.   I trimmed the Stone die cut down to ground the image.    I trimmed some additional Mist cardstock down along with a strip of Rose cardstock to follow the sketch.   I decided to break out my mini sewing machine and added some stitching to the Mist strip.   I stamped a sentiment from Honey Bear.    I added some enamel dots from my stash!   (are these still in fashion?)   They matched perfectly with the Rose cardstock.

You still have a few days to play in the SFYTT challenge and opportunity to win $20.00 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store.   All the details can be found on the Reverse Confetti blog, you can click on the Current Month's SFYTT button!  I hope you get a chance to play along!!!

Hope you have an awesome week!

Reverse Confetti - Color Throwdown Challenge

Woot! Woot!   It's Friday YAY!   I hope you have fun plans for the weekend!   I was able to sneak a little crafty time in this week and was excited that I got to play this week's Color Throwdown Challenge!   This week's challenge was black, white and peach (I used a light pink).   The peach on the inspiration photo looked more pinky peach to me than orange peach and I did not have any peach paper, so I improvised!  I hope that my card will be ok!

I knew instantly I wanted to use the new Sealiously stamp set by Reverse Confetti.   I stamped my image onto Premier Polar White cardstock and then die cut the image with the Sealiously Confetti Cuts.   I colored the cute little seal with my Copic markers in Warm Gray tones.

I used the new Stitched Rays Cover Panel and cut it from Piggy Bank cardstock.   I then sponged Piggy Bank ink on every other ray.   I then covered the inked rays with my Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle pen - there is glitter all over this card!    I just love this cover panel plain and inked up!  The cover panel will cover an entire A2 card front, the corners are slightly rounded, so I trim off a little from the side and bottom of the card front so that you don't see the tiny bit of white in each corner.

I die cut Midnight cardstock with the Scalloped Squares and then die cut it once more with Cloud White cardstock.   I used the wave from the Sealiously Confetti Cuts and die cut three Stone waves to add the ocean to my card.    The sentiment was stamped onto Flamingo cardstock and trimmed it down to a rectangle.

I had so much fun playing with the Color Throwdown challenge!    There is still time to play along!  Check out this link for more inspiration!   Happy Crafting!

Reverse Confetti and My Sweet Petunia Blog Hop

Hey there!   Reverse Confetti is hopping along with My Sweet Petunia this month!  We are sharing ABC projects (anything but a card!)   I made some sweet tags for my Peep Treat Pops for Easter.    I used the new Honey Bear stamp set along with an older Reverse Confetti stamp set that I love called  Hippity Hoppity.   These sets interchange so well together!

I stamped the images from Honey Bear and Hippity Hoppity on Premier Polar White cardstock using the MISTI.    I then die cut the images with the Honey Bear and Hippity Hoppity Confetti Cuts.   I colored the images with my Copic markers picking soft colors to match the Peep treats.

I used the Topped Off Tag Confetti Cuts and cut several tag bases from Mist, Sunshine and Premier Polar White cardstock.    I also used the new Fun Times paper pad and added accents to all three tags.      For each tag, I mixed it up and added different elements to build my tiny scenes.

For my Honey Bear tag, I used the new Dashed Line Tag.    I mixed up the images from both the Hippity Hoppity and Honey Bear sets.   The cloud is a die cut from Honey Bear Confetti Cuts.   The Easter greeting was stamped using the MISTI which makes it easy to get a bold and crisp stamping!

My next tag I used the Dots Tag Layer and cut it from the Fun Times paper pad and added a Lime Green border that was die cut with the Edge Essentials to add the dashed line at the top.   I stamped the sentiment in Lime Green ink with the MISTI to ensure a bold tone on tone sentiment.

For my last tag, I used the Topped Off Tag along with the Edge Essentials to add details.   The Edge Essentials has a pinking edge that I die cut the Fun Times paper.  I stamped my sentiment again with the MISTI masking off the words to stack on top of each other.

That is it for me!    I hope that you have fun hopping along with our March Blog Hop with the Confetti Crew and the My Sweet Petunia designers!   Be sure to hop along for prizes!   Next up on the hop is Kia Gibson-Clapper!

Two lucky commenters from the hop will win one of two prizes: a $60 shopping spree at www.mysweetpetunia.com  or a $60 shopping spree at www.Reverseconfetti.com.   You must leave comments no later than Sunday, March 25th, at 11:59 PM Central time and winners will be announced on Tuesday March 27th, on the Reverse Confetti and My Sweet Petunia blogs.
