My Favorite Things - Our Story

I hope you had an excellent weekend!    I am sharing a card that I made with the MFT Stamp, Our Story.   I actually just got this stamp.   I missed out when it was first released and when I would go to order, it had been sold out.    It was finally restocked so I snatched it up!  :-)

I colored the images with Copic Markers and cut them out with my Scan and Cut.    I then layered it up on a Stitched Mini Scallop Circle dies.    I stamped the main card panel with Jelly Bean Green ink onto Jelly Bean Green card stock with the Scattered Surface background stamp.    I finished it off with some hemp twine.

Lawn Fawn - Party Animals

I have a birthday card to share with you.   I have been trying to build up my stash.    I used my Distress Inks to create a bright and colorful background for my little deer.

The stamp set is called Party Animals.   I colored the image with Copic Markers and then cut them out with my Scan and Cut 2.   The sentiment was heat embossed with Hero Arts white embossing powder.   Some Pretty Pink Posh Sequins were added for a final touch of sparkle!

Reverse Confetti - Boho Vibes - Dream Catcher

I struggle trying to make masculine cards.   When I saw this stamp set from the last release by Reverse Confetti, I grabbed it up immediately.    I love the dream catcher in the set and immediately knew that this would be perfect for making cards and such for my boys and my husband.    Here is a simple card that I created using the dream catcher watercolored in blues and browns.

I mounted it to a panel stamped with a MFT Linen Background stamp set using the same tone/tone ink/paper using Grout Grey.    Then mounted to next largest size die from the MFT Wonky Stitched rectangle stax.   The sentiment was stamped in MFT Hybrid Black Licorice ink and then the card was mounted on Kraft card panel.

Ready to go for my husband's Father's Day in June!

Reverse Confetti - Boho Vibes

This is such a great stamp set for masculine cards.    I used the feathers from the stamp set to create a background  by stamping the feathers over and over in a pattern using Steel Grey Ink on Steel Grey card stock.

The feathers were stamped and clear embossed on watercolor yardstick and then watercolored with Distress Inks.    I stamped the sentiment in Summer Splash ink and then clear embossed it on a Lacy Scallop Circle die from Reverse Confetti as well.

A simple but masculine card.    I stamped a birthday sentiment on the inside and ready for my son's birthday this summer.

My Favorite Things - Magical Unicorns

This is a card that I made for my niece and her daughter.    I have gotten on the action wobbler bandwagon finally!   I wanted the unicorn to appear as if he is flying thru the sky.   So I started with the Snowdrifts background die (by My Favorite Things) and then colored the pieces with Distress ink to create the sky and grass.

The stamp set is from My Favorite Things and it is called Magical Unicorns.

I then stamped and colored the unicorn and trimmed out with my Scan and Cut.    I added the action wobbler to the back of the unicorn and when you touch it, he moves back and forth.   I had a hard time capturing it in a photo.    I stamped the sentiment and then added a small heart to the card.

I put in the mail this week and hopes it creates a smile for them when they open it.

Lawn Fawn Mom + Me * Mother's Day Card

I was so inspired by Kristina Werner's card here, that I decided to do this with my Lawn Fawn Mom + Me Stamp set and make a Mother's Day card.

Kristina did a video with masked ink blending and then used her Zig markers to color the image.   I basically followed her card but changed the images up.    I ended up using more blue (Chipped Sapphire) in mine because it looked nicer with the orange in the fox.   Orange and Blue are complementary colors and she has a video as well.   Check out this video for more on water color mixing but same can be applied to any color medium that will blend together.

I used Bristol Smooth card stock which distress inks and Zig markers work very nicely on.    I cut out the heart image from some masking paper and then applied to my Bristol card stock.   I ink blended with Seedless Preserves, Chipped Sapphire, Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass.   In the end I used more Chipped Sapphire over the Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass.   I liked the look much better in the end.

The fox was water colored with the Zig markers and the stump was stamped in MFT Hybrid Chocolate Brown ink and then colored over with Zig markers.      I white heat embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set.   Then I trimmed the panel down and placed it on an A2 card covered with some patterned paper wrapped in ribbon.

I just love how it turned out.    Thanks Kristina for your inspiration!

Hope you have a fantastic day!

Lawn Fawn - Party Animal

Happy weekend to you!   Today I used the Lawn Fawn Party Animal stamp set and made a quick birthday card.   The images were stamped on smooth white card stock and them colored with Copic markers and cut out with my Scan and Cut.    For the background, I stamped some soft grey ink on white card base.    I watercolored a piece of watercolor paper with Distress Inks and dragged it thru the ink to get a splattered look.   When I cut it out with a circle die, it reminded me of the earth.

Here is a close up of the images.   The sentiment was white heat embossed on some black card stock and then embossed.

Reverse Confetti - Mermaid Kisses - Sketch for you to try

Happy weekend again!   I got some much needed time to myself this weekend and was able to spend some time in my craft room.    Since it is a new month, there is a new sketch on Reverse Confetti.    I used a new to me stamp set, Mermaid Kisses, to create my card.

I stamped see of the smaller images on some watercolor card stock and colored them in with my Distress inks.    Then I cut the panel down to go along with the sketch.   The card stock base was stamped with a linen background stamp in pale blue ink.

The main image was stamped and colored with Copic markers and then trimmed down and placed on a Reverse Confetti die, Lacy Scallop Circle Confetti cut.   I added Diamond Stickles to the flower to add some shimmer.

Here is the sketch link for you to take a look and try at Reverse Confetti.
