I saw this really technique on the Neat and Tangled blog for making your own wood grain background on a card using a white pigment pad, two tones of brown (or color of your choice) and a fine point marker. You can see the tutorial here. To create the hello accent, I cut multiple layers of the hello and then layered them together (4 layers).
