Reverse Confetti - Sketch For You To Try!

I am up today on the Reverse Confetti Blog sharing my card for this month's Sketch For You To Try.   This month's sketch was so much fun because I did two things that I love to do!   I love to color critters and love to make my own background paper with stamps!

I stamped and colored the images from the Paw Prints stamp set and then set them aside while I went to work making my own stamped backgrounds.    I first took the hydrant from the Paw Prints stamp set and stamped it all over a 2 1/2 inch x 4 inch panel of Stone cardstock with Stone ink and added a narrow strip of Salsa card stock.   The background was made from Mist cardstock and stamped with Iced Aqua ink using the Elemental Stripes stamp set.    Even though the pattern was mostly covered up, I still had fun stamping the entire piece.

I used the Lacy Scallop Circle Confetti cut and die cut it with the Premier Polar White cardstock and used some of the patterned paper from Under the Umbrella to break up the white and give my dog and his dog house a little grounding.   I used the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Monkey Business Stamp set.   I added three small enamel dots in a matching color to complete the sketch!

Be sure to check out the Reverse Confetti Blog today to see what the other Designers came up with for this month's sketch and to link your creation to the challenge!   Thanks for stopping by!
