Feeling like fall - My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge

Happy Fall!   The leaves are just starting to turn on the trees.   I love this time of year.    If only it would last a little longer and hold off on the cold!     I was waiting for my MFT order to arrive and the ship notice indicated that it would be delivered on Saturday but by the end of the day the status had changed with no delivery date...... (sad face).   I was really hoping to use some of my new stamps/dies this weekend but still waiting on the package to arrive with no update on when it will be delivered-  I hope that they haven't lost it!    I had a big order - it was the holiday release!

Anyways, I used the Pure Innocence Thankful Friend.   I had no idea where I was going with this so I just stamped and colored a couple of the same images and then picked my favorite and built my card around the image.  Not the easiest way to do it but I really had not planned anything out.    To create the background, I stamped some MFT Chocolate Brown card stock with some MFT Hybrid Black Licorice ink to make a flannel background using the Gingham Background Stamp.     I cut the three strips using MFT Blueprints 2 out of Blueberry card stock.     I cut a panel with Whip Cream card stock using the Double Stitched rectangle stack.      My image was colored with Copic Markers on Copic Xpress it card stock.   The panel for the image was stamped with Grout Grey dye ink using the Sweater Stitched background.   The greeting was embossed with Hero Arts White Embossing powder.

All products were My Favorite Things unless I note otherwise below:

Stamps:  PI Thankful Friend, Gingham Background Sweater Stitched Background
Inks: Hybrid Black Licorice, Grout Grey Dye, Versamark
Papers: Grout Grey, Chocolate Brown, Blueberry, Whip Cream, Copic Xpress it
Tools: Blueprints 2, PI Thankful friend die, Double stitched rectangle stax

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. What a sweet card! I love the dark panel and the shade of blue you used for the stripes. The coloring is just wonderful too! So glad you joined us at MFT!
