Reverse Confetti - Pattern Blocks

Happy Friday!  I am playing along with a couple of the new May release items from Reverse Confetti, Pattern Blocks and Stitched Squares.   I saw the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch and it was perfect for what I had in mind!

I used both the pattern blocks stamps in the set to create a background by stamping the blocks in a quilt like pattern onto Lead card stock and then I die cut the panel with the Large Diamond Cover panel and layered it on a Lead card base.  I had done this quilt type pattern on a card that I had done in the new release countdown with white embossing powder.   I decided to do a more tone on tone look for this card and stamped in black ink.

For the focal point, I stamped the floral block onto some Premier Polar White card stock and colored with my Copic markers.   I added a soft warm gray to the background so that my pink, orange and red flowers popped with color.    I die cut Stormy cardstock with the two largest Stitched Squares to create a frame.   I then die cut my stamped and colored panel with the largest Stitched Square panel and trimmed the edges just slightly.   I stamped a sentiment from the Pattern Block stamp set onto some Vellum card stock with white embossing powder and sandwiched it between the frame and the colored floral panel that was layered with foam tape.   This way the Vellum piece was popped up slightly off the colored panel.    I then added some sequin for a little sparkle.

Hey -- have you heard of the new Reverse Confetti Monthly Challenge, Stock your Stash?   It is new monthly challenge where you make a card using the theme for the month.   This month's theme is Hello/Just Because.    I decided to play along with the challenge with my card!  :-)  I am also joining along with the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything goes!

Thanks for stopping by!   I hope that you can get some crafty time in this weekend!
