SugarPea Designs - Mix It Up Challenge

Hey there!    It is the start of a new month and that means there is a new Mix It Up Challenge #55 with SugarPea Designs.  I used some of the new April release products to make my card today using the colors in the inspiration photo.    

I love the new Hey Honey stamp set.   It is just adorable with that bear!    I started off by watercoloring a background with Distress Oxide in Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilized Amber.   I added multiple layers of color and dried in-between each layer.  

I then die cut the Honeycomb Cover Plate with some white cardstock.   I then removed some of the pieces so that the watercolored card stock would peek through the Honeycomb.   For my bear, I stamped the bear from Hey Honey onto Kraft card stock and added some Distress Oxide Worn Lipstick.   I used the Hey Honey SugarCuts to die cut the bears nose and muzzle.  

 I then stamped the beehive and bees onto watercolor paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink and water colored them with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.   The sentiment is from Hey Honey and it was stamped onto black card stock and white heat embossed.   I added some clear jewels for a little sparkle.
