Taylored Expressions Cherry On Top

Hello!  I am sharing a card I made for this week's Inspired by Challenge!  The challenge this week was berries!  I used a cherry stamp set from Taylored Expressions called Very Cherry & Cherry on Top!  I forgot that cherries are not actually a berry since they have a pit and not seeds!  Oh Well!  We will go with they are Cherry Berries, right? 

I love the combo sets at Taylored Expressions - this one is a Cling & Clear Combo - Very Cherry as it has a panel red rubber background that stamps the cherries and then the cling stamp is the filling for the cherry and leaves.  You don't have to be perfect in your stamping for this to look great!  You can go outside the lines, stamp over, etc.  It is just good old fashioned stamping without a positioner! Love it!

 

There is a stencil to match the background that allows you to stamp all the hearts around the cherries and it is called Very Cherry.   I used the Cherry on Top stamp and die to create the center cherry.   I die cut a scalloped frame and circle die cut for the center.   The sentiment is from the Cherry on Top stamp set.   Check out the Inspired by Challenge here and join along!  

Dragonfly Hello's

 Hello! I am sharing a card created for the Inspired by Challenge using this week's sketch! I used the Taylored Expressions Dragonfly Dreams stamp and die.   

I stamped some kraft paper with the Wood Plank Background stamp and then splattered the panel with white and black ink.   I then trimmed it down for the three panels and layered onto a kraft card base with foam tape.

I used the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set to stamp the dragonflies using several different colors of ink.  I used my MISTI to stamp the image and then layered the negative die cut panel around the stamped image. I then put the die cut into the negative panel to get a precise stamped image.  Makes it so easy when you have a multiple layer stamp set.  You could free range stamp but I like using the negative die cut to create the perfect image.  

The sentiment is from a stamp set that was a special release from Virtual Stamp Joy but there is a similar set called All Together Occasions stamp and die! This is such a cool set.  You stamp all the sentiments and die cut them all at once!

Inspired by Sea Decor - Challenge Blog

 Hello!  It's. been awhile :-) I have joined up with the Inspired By Challenges!  This week was Sea Decor.  The sketch each week is “inspired by” the photo inspiration (sometimes loosely inspired ). You can use the sketch alone for your inspiration that week, it does not have to be inspired by anything else in the photo inspiration.

I was inspired by both the sketch and the photo!  I used the photo for my theme and loosely used the sketch for placement of my penguins.  These are stamps and dies from SugarPea Designs!   Hop over to the Inspired By Challenge blog and link us with us for this week! 

I used Nautical Notions, Salty Seagulls and the Sunburst stencil from Sugarpea Designs.   The sentiment die is from Taylored Expressions and it is called Sentiment Strips Duo.   The cover panel is a Reverse Confetti Stitched Burst Cover Panel.  I used Mango, Pineapple, Lemon Meringue and Potato Chip inks for the stencil from Taylored Expressions.

Pixi Dust Designs - Tulips

 Here are my last two projects with the new release from Pixi Dust Designs.   This die set is called Tulips.  

For the first card, I used Distress Oxides to color the cardstock for the second card I used Washi Tape on cardstock!  Check out the new release at Pixi Dust Designs!  

Pixi Dust Designs - Bee Happy

 Oh, how I love bees!  This is such an adorable new die set from Pixi Dust Designs!  How adorable are these bees!   This card was made just with the new die, no stamping!  

I die cut the images out and colored with my Copic markers!  Yesterday, I made a similar colored card with the new Lily die from Pixi Dust Designs but I colored all the images with Distress Oxides inks but today I used my Copics for it all! Including the sentiment.   

How adorable are these bees! They are all layered up and so much fun to make.  I especially love the one with this back to us-busy little bee in his hive!   Check out the new release at Pixi Dust Designs! 

Pixi Dust Designs - Lily

 Hello!  I am sharing a card made with the new release from Pixi Dust Designs!  This is a new die called "Lily".  How beautiful this turned out!  I love all the layering and dimension that you can achieve with a die! 

I loved layering all the colors and used mini ink blenders to blend the Distress Oxide inks.  I added the Lilies to a simple turquoise blue background and added the die cut sentiment that comes with the die.  A simple but stunning card! 

To finish it off, I added some crystal jewels.  I just love how this turned out!  No stamping! All die! 

Here are the Distress Oxide inks used: Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron and Rustic Wilderness.
