Reverse Confetti - Countdown to Confetti Day 3

Welcome back to our Countdown to the September release for Reverse Confetti!   This is our final day of the Countdown and we are sharing two adorable new holiday stamps sets Joyous Holiday and Joys of the Season.

I am in love with Joyous Holiday!  It has three of the cutest little angels.   You will absolutely just fall in love with this set!   I stamped the images from Joyous Holiday onto Premier Polar White card stock and colored with my Copic markers.   I did very light coloring trying to really keep a light and airy feel to the little angels.

I die cut them out with the matching Joyous Holiday Confetti Cut.    For my card base, I covered it with some of the new patterned paper from This & That.  I added a Scalloped Square Frame and backed it with some heavy weight vellum.  I stamped and embossed my sentiment from Joyous Holiday onto the vellum.    I added one of my very favorite holiday Holly Confetti Cut from Avocado and Brick cardstock.

For my next project, I created a chalkboard project to use for the holidays.   I started with a blank piece of wood and painted it with black chalk paint.    To make the signs, I used 3/4" medium density fiberboard otherwise known as MDF.   The frames were made from 1 inch x 2 in premium kiln dried square edge whitewood common board.   I stained them with a darker brown stain.   I used black chalk paint to paint the MDF and painted it with 3 coats but I could have just done 2 and it would have been fine.

Once dry,  I used the stamp set to create a wreath and used Distress Oxides to create the wreath shape  from Joys of the Season stamp set.     I used several different colors of green to get the multiple layers to the wreath.   I die cut the word Blessed three times from white card stock and stacked them together.   I glued to the center of the board.   I added the Holly Confetti Cut from Lime Green and Salsa card stock.

I actually made a couple more of these using Joys of the Season and will share them later.  It is totally addicting once you get started.   I had a blank canvas with the painted black chalk surfaces and it was so easy once I got started to use my paper crafting supplies to create these unique holiday signs.   I added the framed edges once it was all completed.

That is it for me today!   The release goes live on September 8th!  We will have a New Release Hop to celebrate!   Till then, we have a ton of inspiration to share with you today with the new products.   Please hop along to each of the designers blog and be sure to leave a comment along the way.
