Peace, Love and Belly Rubs - Poppystamps

Hello!  I am sharing a holiday card I made for friends or loved ones that love dogs!  I used some new Poppystamps Christmas release to create this card!  I am also using the sketch for this weeks Inspired by Challenge.

I used the Holiday Corgie along with the Peace, Love and Belly Rubs die.   My background was created using a Hot Foil plate from Erin Lee Creative called Classic Stripes.  If you have not checked out Erin Lee Creative, she has some great prices for her Hot Foil plates!  They are so much fun to work with!

I created the background with the Classic Stripes hot foil plate and kraft cardstock.  I then die cut a panel of what cardstock for the glittered Peace, Love and Belly Rubs die cut sentiment from Glitter Glitz cardstock from Poppystamps.

I die cut the Holiday Corgi from Poppystamps from white cardstock and colored with my Copic markers.  Come play along with the Inspired By Challenge!  Link up here

Happy Fright Night -Taylored Expressions

Hello!  Happy Fall!  You know I just love Halloween.  I have been getting into all the spooky things and using my Halloween and Fall inspired stamps and dies!  My house is all decked out!  Still thinking about what I may do with my outside to make it all spooky!  But I know one thing for sure, we cannot wait to do some pumpkin carving.  That will need to wait till Halloween!  Until then, I can create spooky cards!

For the Inspired By Challenge this week, the inspiration is Pumpkins!  EEK!  I used all Taylored Expressions for my project today:

Stamp: Spooky Season Stamp

Die: Snack-O-Lantern Shaker Die

Inks: Mango, Pumpkin, Peaches'n Cream, Sweet Potato Pie, Plum Punch, VersaFine Clair Nocturne

I started by inking my panel with the Peaches'n Cream, Sweet Potato Pie, Pumpkin and Plum Punch.   I then stamped the panel with the Spooky Seasons Stamp and used the VersaFine Clair Nocturne for the bats.   I then splattered the panel with Chocolate Truffle ink.  I then splattered it with Silver Metallic inks from Tim Holtz.

I die cut the Snack-O-Lantern from black licorice and some yellow cardstock from my scraps.  I stamped and embossed a sentiment from Spooky Season and then ink blended the XXXX panel with Mango ink.  I finished the card by adding some orange stars from the Halloween Bit's & Pieces.  I just LOVE how the card turned out!!!

Oh Nuts! - The Greetery

Hello!  I hope you are doing well today.   It's time again for another Inspired By Challenge!   This week's inspiration is Acorns - there is an inspiration photo and a sketch, you can use one or both!   I used some of my new The Greetery August release products that I just bought.  I used the Jumbo Curiosity: Acorns Die, Fall Foodie stamp set and the Herringbone Parquet die.

I added a previously released die called Big Branches: Ruscus die.  I used two die cuts and then trimmed one and popped it up in various places to surround the acorns.   I love the pop of orange against the dark browns!  I splattered the leaves with some dark ink.

To finish off the card, I added some gold pearls from Pink Fresh.  I hope that you get an opportunity to play along!  Check out the blog post here!

I used Distress Oxide inks to add details to my die cuts in rich browns, oranges and greens.   To add details to the panel, I used some Black Soot Distress Oxide ink.  I embossed the sentiments with gold embossing powder onto some dark brown cardstock.     Thanks for stopping by!

You're Unbe-LEAF-able!

Hello everyone!  I am sharing my card that I made for the Inspired By Challenge!   I had SO MUCH FUN creating this card!  First off, I got all inky with my surgical gloves and many different Distress Inks!  I did a lot of ink smooshing!  I have not done this in such a long time!  I trimmed down a 3.5 inch square of watercolor cardstock and then got to inking, spritzing and smooshing!

I knew I wanted several different colors of leafs.  So I paired three different colors of Distress Inks to create burgundy, orange, yellow, green and brown leaves.  I would ink, spray, splatt and dry the squares with my heat gun.  I repeated this till I got some light and dark areas.   I then splattered with some dark brown watercolor.

I had some large leaves and smaller leaves and went with the smaller leaves.   I popped up each leaf with foam tape.  I then added a sentiment from The Greetery with the Way to Grow stamp set.   I used a die cut flag from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips Die.

Create in Quads - Ever in Bloom

Hey there!  I am sharing a card I created with the Create in Quads Ever in Bloom stencil from Taylored Expressions.  I only created one card but I saved my other panels for a rainy day!   I am playing along with the Inspired By Challenge.  This week it is all about Leggings!   I used the photo as my inspiration using the florals in the leggings and thought about the Ever In Bloom stencil to create my fall spray!

I added details to the image with some Prisma Colored pencils and a white gel pen.   Join us for the Inspired By Challenge here!

Poppy Stamps - Poppy Challenge - Old School

Hello!  I am participating in the Poppy Stamps - Poppy Challenge this month.  The theme this month is Old School - mixing old and new products or using an older technique.   I created this Halloween card using some old and newer products from Poppy Stamps, see my link list below.  I started off with inking up a panel with Distress Inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey, Dusty Concord and Wilted Violet.  I then splattered it with white paint and water.   I set it aside to dry.

I created the Haunted House from the Neighborhood Home Popup Easel Set craft die and put it off centered on the card and actual cut off a portion of the house to allow for my Boo Outline die.  I glued the windows and doors shifted to make it look like the house is old and breaking down!  I added a vellum panel behind the windows.

I die cut the ghost from the Halloween Assemblage die from white card stock and white glitter paper from the Glitzy Glitter pad.  I die cut the Whittle Scary Guys die from white and white glitter paper.  I offset the glitter paper to give them a bit of sparkle.

To finish off the panel, I die cut the Boo Outline from black and white glitter paper and added to the main panel.   Check out the challenge here at Poppy Stamps blog!

Have a great and crafty day!
