Whimsy Stamps - Giraffes Smile

Hey there!   I am sharing today another card that I made with the January Release from Whimsy stamps.   The stamp set is called Giraffe Smiles and is just adorable.    I stamped two of the images from the set and colored them with my Copic markers.   I used the matching Giraffe Smiles die to cut them images out.

To create the scene for these adorable giraffes, I die cut two panels of white cardstock with the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles and then trimmed one of the panels down with the Wavy Edges die to create my grassy border.

I ink blended on the panels with Distress Oxides inks in the following colors:
for the sky: Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass
for the grassy hill:  Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn

I then stamped the sky panel with the Buffalo Plaid Background using the Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink.

I stamped one of the leaf images onto two colors of green cardstock using the Distress Oxide inks.   To create a seamless look with the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle panel, I ran my panel thru my die cutting machine again with the leaves adhered in place to carry the stitching details on top of them.

The sentiment is from the Giraffe Smiles stamp set and was stamped and die cut on flag banner die that was created with the Quick Strips Die.  To finish off the card, I added some turquoise blue crystal jewels.   I added some details to the giraffes with a white gel pen.

Thank you for stopping by and I will be sharing more projects this month with the January release so be sure to follow along with me and follow me on Instagram and Pinterest!
