Club La-La Land Crafts - April 2020 Club Kit Inspiration

Happy Cinco de Mayo!  I am popping in today to share some more inspiration with the April 2020 Club La-La Land Crafts kit!   I have two projects to share with you.

First up is a card that I created with the Pizza My Heart stamp set.  I loved the sentiment that said "any way you Slice it" and went with that theme for the card.    I stamped the mouse with the pizza slice three times and colored with my Copic markers.  This card was pretty simple to color since I did the same colors on each mouse.   If you want to see how I color the images in this stamp set, check out my YouTube video below.

Copic Colors:
Mice W00, W1, W3, W5, W7, R20, E02
Pizza E50, E53, Y21, Y23, R14, R29

I die cut three of the Cheese Block die from a light yellow card stock and inked the edges with some light yellow ink.   I also created a pizza using the Pizza die in the kit and then trimmed it down to 8 slices!   I went with a tomato pie!  Have you ever had one of those?   They are delicious!!!  I just thought all the slices went so well with that sentiment.

My card is not a regular dimension sized card -- so here are the measurements to create this card:
Gray Panel:  4 1/8 inches by 7 1/4 inches
White card base:  8 3/4 inches x 7 1/2 inches, scored at 4 3/8 inches

The Cheese Blocks and Pizza Slices were added to the card directly with adhesive and each mouse was added with foam tape.   I stamped the sentiment onto black card stock and white heat embossed it.   I popped it up as well with foam tape.

Next up, I colored Marci with Pizza and one of the mice from Pizza My Heart.   I wanted to create the feel of a car hop restaurant and went with an aqua and red theme to this card.  It is a regular A2 white card base.

I trimmed aqua card stock to 4 by 5 1/4 inches and used the Hearts & Harlequin Stencil and stenciled with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink.   I wanted the background of the card to look like a wall, so I scored some white card stock and scored every 3/8 inches and created my trim by partially die cutting a strip of gray card stock with the Scalloped Rectangles die.   I added these to the card base with liquid adhesive.

The sentiment was side stamped on the Paddle die and then I added the Mitt die to the Paddle after I stamped it with the Just For You Background Stamp with red ink.   I added some crystal jewels to the Mitt for a bit of sparkle.

Marci and the Mouse were colored with Copic markers and then adhered to the card with foam tape.   I added some polka dots with my white gel pen.
