Welcome back to day 3 of the Sweet Peek Week for the 2021 Fall Collection at SugarPea Designs!
Today we are sharing a new SugarCut called
Shut The Front Door! How cute is that name! Perfect timing because we are in the middle of an outdoor update on our house. We had just had our house painted white. I have been wanting to get a new front door with a large window, so I did a little designing on my card to mimic the things my own inspiration for my house!
I am a little late to the farmhouse trend so I decided to give it the cladboard front exterior. So I die cut the main card panel using the
Card Front Element Builder and then trimmed it down into multiple strips to give the appearance of cladboard. I used the
English Bond Brick Wall Stencil for the bottom of my card panel. Not visually correct but you get the point - also good place for my Sentiment from the
Little Village stamp set.
I created the front door with the elements from the
Shut The Front Door SugarCut. Instead of using the pots for the topiaries in the die I turned them upside down and made them into farmhouse style lights. Then used carriage lights for lanterns for the front porch. I love the look of a stained glass window on the door so I die cut it from black cardstock to give the look of stained glass. I love the pop of black elements off the white exterior!
