Today is the reveal of the new Club La-La Land Craft June kit! June's theme is beach related and I could not wait to color up this month's kit!
I am starting off today with sharing the new The Beach is Calling stamp set with these adorable little pigs! I created this slimline design card and made three little beach scenes for each of the images. You cannot tell but if you look closely, I ink blended with the So Many Dots layering stencil with yellow ink on the background.
Each of my little mini scenes is made with the Postage Stamps die. I wanted to create the look of sea and sand on the card so I trimmed some light blue and kraft cardstock with the Postage Stamps die and adhered them to the bottom of each panel.
I colored my little beach piggy's with my Copic markers:
Pigs YR000, YR00, E21, R20, R00
Drink Y18, Y08, Y06, BG10
Chair E21, E23, B95, B93, B91
Sand E35, E31, E30
Float and Pail R24, R27, R29
Bathing suit & Snorkel B91, B93, B95, Y18, Y06, Y02
Each little pig got a little rosy glow with the R20 and R00 - I would imagine that they do get sunburned when at the beach! :-)
The sentiment is from The Beach is Calling and was die cut with the Double Stitched Circles die. For some final details, I added some yellow crystal jewels. If you order the June kit, I provide the full details for creating this card in my tutorial for this month's release!
The June kit comes with 3 dies: Sand Castle, Pail and Shovel and a Beach Ball. I die cut the Beach Ball along with the Pail and Shovel from cardstock and added them to my mini scenes. I added some more final touches to the card with my white gel pen and crystal glaze.
Next up is Reading on the Beach Marci. Isn't she super cute with her little yellow polka dot bikini! This stamp comes with Marci along with the towel which is a seperate stamp. This stamp set has one sentiment. For my card, I used one of the sentiments from The Beach is Calling!

For the Castle die, I die cut several from kraft cardstock and layered them all together. Next I inked the edges with some kraft ink and then splattered it with watered down white paint. I added some clear glitter to the edges. For the Pail and Shovel, I die cut these from white cardstock and colored with the Copic markers noted above.
To create my card, I die cut two Scalloped Rectangles and ink blended with Distress Oxide inks: Peacock Feathers, Tumbled Glass, Antique Linen and Vintage Photo. I splattered them with some watered down white paint as well. My sun was made with Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilized Amber along with the Double Stitched Circle Die.
For the sentiment, I just trimmed it down and added to my card panel. I know the beach is calling me for sure right now but I don't think I will be able to go this summer!
